Bench la cave is a wine bar and bakery cafe.
This place is next door to @benchsheffield 's popular bar @pearlatparkhill , and follows suit with delicious wine and excellent food.

Choices were very limited, but what we had was delicious. We shared focaccia curried chicken sandwiches with crisp chicken skin and crunchy salad, and Herby cheese scones with home made butter. We tried rhubarb custard tarts to die for and a stunning baked cheese cake. This was washed down with a good quality bottomless filter coffee (no barista coffee available currently) and then a glass of a very dry rose. Delicious.

Heads up - this place seems to be a popular spot for takeaway! Seating is pretty limited, so if you're planning on catching up with friends be aware there is a chance it may already be full and it might be a good idea to grab your goodies to go. Definitely a great place to grab an artisan loaf and a bottle of something special however.

Bench La Cave is a must-visit for anyone in Sheffield looking for top-notch food and wine.

Really disappointed! I had booked a table at Bench La Cave a couple of weeks in advance for when I had family visiting Sheffield. Unfortunately on the day of the booking, I saw via their Instagram that they were closed that day for a private event. We had no communication re our booking being cancelled, and they didn't respond via email/Insta (there's no phone number). I still haven't heard anything back which is a real shame in terms of customer service. I could understand an honest mistake but not taking the time to respond at all is poor. We love the Bench restaurant in Nether Edge though!

Amazing bakery/cafe/wine bar

It some how pulls off being a jack of all trades master of all. Amazing baked goods (custard tarts are the best), good coffee lovely atmosphere and service, and brill music. In the evenings the food menu changes to fantastically tasty small plates and the staff's wine knowledge is fantastic. Cannot recommend highly enough
