I went here today with my daughter. It Was one of the worst places to eat, I have ever been to.
The elderly lady behind the counter was not welcoming at all. To be honest it came across like she doesn't like other races of people. (My daughter is mixed)
Didn't give eye contact. Didn't state the bread they had, nor if we wanted butter in our sandwiches; but was able to provide this customer service to the 2 men who followed in behind us separately.

I ordered our drinks and when asked if she had coke, said she didn't. Yet once we received our food, she proceeded to stock the fridge with coke- that she didn't have lol (could have said we have but it's not cold) The food was ok but due to the atmosphere and the fact the place was freezing cold, I ate half my sandwich, left the hot chocolate- that tasted of water any way! And left.

The lady who made the food was really nice. Very polite. Nothing negative to say about her at all. If she had been the one serving I think our experience would have been different.

Wouldn't waste my money to come back here again. I would have given the atmosphere and service a 0 and the food only got a 2 because we didn't get to enjoy it.

Photos- looks like Coke to me

Hands down one of the best breakfasts I've had in years. Richard is a wonderful host and makes you feel like a regular as soon as you walk in. Cracking cuppa tea too! Highly recommend the sausages. Already planning my next visit!

Brilliant café! It’s been some years since visiting this café and can see it’s under a new management since I last visited, who are doing an amazing job! The café is small but cosy with the bear theme.

I ordered the rough as a bear full English breakfast. Even though it wasn’t a food challenge it felt like one 😃 The breakfast was cooked perfectly and with high quality ingredients. I just about managed to finish and left with a full belly that’s for sure. I am really impressed by the standard here and can honestly say it is the best full English breakfast I have had in Birmingham and I’ve visited many cafés. The breakfast includes 3 each of the main items such as sausage and bacon. The breakfast costs £13 with a coffee which is superb value for what you get. Highly recommend for the full English lovers or there are smaller versions available also.

My partner had a slice of the chocolate cake and a latte and she loved the cake very much!

We will definitely be returning here, it’s a gem of a café and I would recommend all to visit here for a great Breakfast!

Thank you to all the staff, keep doing a great job!

I shall return!

Excellent little spot. Popped in on a rare day off for a late breakfast mid morning. Delicious, generous breakfasts at reasonable prices. Spotlessly clean, plenty of seating and 5* service.

The Big Bear breakfast is great, 2 of everything, all freshly cooked to order piping hot and not too greasy.

They also make any breakfast sandwich to order and accept orders via just eat and phone in advance.

Excellent coffee too. Will definitely visit again.
