I can't comment on the rooms as me and my friend had a day spa and had the loveliest, most relaxing Sunday here. It is spotlessly clean, very well equipped and in the most relaxing and tranquil position.
The lady that looked after us was professional and friendly and couldn't do enough for us - and the back massage was absolutely amazing!
We will definitely be returning.

First time using York Cottage Spa. Had a delicious afternoon tea followed by use of the spa. Very relaxing and quiet despite the torrential rain thunder and lightening all day. Just what was needed after running 23 miles in the morning.

My friend and I came here for a relaxing morning. It was absolutely wonderful and the staff, location and facilities allowed us to properly unwind. The 20 minute massage (included in the price) was one of the best I've had. Everything was spotless and the furniture was of a good quality.
There is ample parking outside and the atmosphere is very relaxed and calm. We opted for the afternoon tea which was delicious. We asked for no pork and this was accommodated without fuss. Will definitely be coming back!

We recently visited to celebrate my Husbands birthday. It was amazing and we’ll definitely be back. We had a Yoga, session, use of the Spa facilities with the grazing board mid afternoon. We then had a hot stone massage each which was wonderful (but we should have paid extra to have longer!)! … the day was super relaxing and just what we both needed. We headed out to the Cherry Tree Olney for the evening which was lovely and when we checked out on Wednesday morning we drove to Castle Ashby for breakfast and visited their gardens.

I’d highly recommend York Cottage Spa. It’s intimate, unique and allows you to tailor your stay to suit your needs. Wonderful friendly staff are on hand if you need anything but also discreet allowing you to switch off and unwind.

A few areas need a little bit of cosmetic touching up / decoration which I’m sure is in hand but generally you won’t be disappointed.

Recently visited York cottage for a private spa day for my girlfriend’s birthday. The house was absolutely beautiful, quiet and very peaceful. All the facilities were spotless and very well kept. Lauren looked after us both very professionally and I’d highly recommend anyone to visit! Perfect getaway for couples and people just looking for a relaxing spa day.

We had a beautiful time celebrating our hen do here on Sunday - the place was absolutely amazing and the massages were honestly out of this world. Gemma and her team made us feel so comfortable from the start. Nothing was too much trouble, the facilities were stunning and perfect for what we needed. It was wonderful to be able to have the place to ourselves and add our own special touches for our hen do. Cannot wait to come back!

I visited York Cottage with a friend for a birthday treat. We both had a lovely morning, the house itself is lovely and the spa facilities equally as brilliant. Set in a beautiful location, York Cottage has the most calming atmosphere throughout. We both had different treatments, my friend a facial and myself a back massage - we were both delighted! We left the treatment room ready for a sleep we were so chilled. Gemma is a lovely host, welcoming and informative.
Towards the end of our session we sat down to afternoon tea which was delish, so many tasty treats.

I will certainly be back having realised I can do the morning session in between school drop off and pick up, it’s going to be the perfect pick me up treat!

Booked the morning spa use as a birthday activity for my fiancé and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Gemma was warm and welcoming upon arrival and made us feel relaxed, the large hot tub and infra sauna were great and it was good to use these at our leisure whilst resting in the beds around the room. The massage was relaxing and helped get a few knots out of my back. We opted for afternoon tea which was served on time and tasted amazing. Gemma was on hand for everything we needed and completed all tasks herself during our stay. Will definitely book again and recommend to friends.
