Can't fault it for the price as a budget hotel you don't expect too high standard. Room was spacious and clean with lovely crisp and clean bed linen. Comfy king size bed. Some corridor noise but that is to be expected in a hotel, nothing over loud. Our room overlooked the car park and was not noisy at all. Have got used to seeing people smoking outside hotels as where else are they supposed to go? As an ex smoker I know you have to smoke somewhere. Bathroom modern clean but no non slip mat, usually Travel Lodges have them in the baths/showers. Some tiny little bits needed attention if I'm being really picky but that is obviously the contractors who do refurbishments faults. (Paintwork at bottom of bathroom door not finished properly) I would not mark a budget hotel down for this and I saw water marks on spoons etc but again that's dishwasher at fault or the powder tablets they use. Me and my husband had 2 nights stay Friday Saturday night as went to Santa Pod and both of us found the hotel clean, friendly and comfortable.

As soon as we walked into our room we noticed the windows had been left open (presumably by the staff), the reason for this was immediately explained by the awful odour that greeted us from within the room - a cross between wet gym socks and a wet cat - it was a very strong smell that made me instantly revisit the reception to notify them of the issue. The receptionist at the time said that the Travelodge was fully booked but he would visit our room and see what he could do. He walked around our room flaring his nostrils like a children's cartoon character and stated simply that he couldn't smell anything! When I pointed out the smell that 4 of us were complaining about (2 people from another room could also smell the stench when they came in to see why I had gone to complain) and that the staff must have known there was a stench as they had left the windows open - he simply replied that he could not smell anything and left rather quickly without another word!

We ended up getting a car air freshener out of our car to try and mask the smell!

Once we started looking around the room, we found other issues - carpet grips that were sharp and exposed, the extractor fan in the shower didn't work and there was rubbish left in the room from the previous stay - clearly not cleaning or maintaining the rooms at all!

Terrible customer service (very dismissive, no people skills), awful smell, broken things across the room - we would not recommend staying here even for one night!!

Room smelt of drains and they didn't have another room. They did offer to call someone to look but I just slept with the window open and froze instead!
Also faced by a dog wandering loose in the corridor on 2 separate occasions.
Staff helpful and friendly though.

because of the floods, we are staying at this hotel and my family and I feel very cozy forgetting for a few moments what was happening. The rooms are clean and last night we had very good food from our waiter Lucian, a funny young boy. the most advantageous thing is definitely the price

Nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only one negative was the shampoo/body wash in the shower was just water and not usable. I would stop here again, only I would remember to bring my own shower gel.

Booked here for 1 night but didn't even last that long.
Beggers in the car park, shouting pyjamas clad women stood at the front door, paper thin doors and walls, very strong smell of damp in the corridors and stairwells, rubbish everywhere and to top it all off the McDonalds next door was being refurbished so banging, cutting and crashing noises and reving engines as people who thought it was open got to the entrance and found it fenced off.
I thought as an old IBIS it would be better than the normal Travel gulag but it isn't.

* Disappointing Stay**

We booked two rooms for a night, and we won't be booking here again.

Firstly, both rooms had issues with hot water. Room 227, in particular, had only lukewarm water at best, making it impossible to take a hot shower.

There is no free WiFi, which is usually standard in budget hotels. Instead, you have to pay for a 24-hour connection.

The rooms lack storage space; there are no cupboards or drawers, just a few hangers above the bed.

The shower design is poor, with only a flimsy curtain that lets water leak all over the bathroom floor, which lacks a drain. This leaves the bathroom looking like a lake after each shower.

The windows don't have fly screens, so you can't open them without letting in mosquitoes. Despite this, there's no air conditioning, only a small, loud fan. This means the rooms are humid, smelly, and noisy.

Overall, we were extremely disappointed with our stay. The room conditions, lack of basic amenities, and poor design made it a waste of money.
