Great pub & atmosphere. Dog friendly & well situated. Food arrived in good time and is reasonably priced. Partridge slightly dry but did not spoil experience. Would return. Did not stay in a room so unable to comment.

We came here over the weekend Friday and Saturday overnight the location is very convenient on The A628 Woodhead Pass Sheffield. The customers and staff are very warm and welcoming. Our room was upstairs with beautiful wooden beams above us and was very comfortable. Special thanks to the staff, Andrea Jessie Lily Annie and anyone who's name I've neglected to mention. Jean was fantastic on Saturday night letting us sing along with her accompaniment on the organ! We enjoyed meeting John and Stu who was a fantastic singer and very entertaining! The food was delicious and there was plenty of it too, I really enjoyed the breakfast and particularly my omelette this morning. I can't speak too highly about our experience at The Dog And Partridge and would recommend it unreservedly you won't be disappointed!

What a lovely pub this is. Wooden beams and stone walls. Warm and friendly staff, fire on the go to warm ourselves up from the motorcycle ride. The food was gorgeous and plentyful. A clean pub all round. A little gem that we will go back to for certain.

Friendly staff, great breakfast and reasonably priced evening meals and beer. Comfortable beds in clean and spacious rooms.
Not sure about the Saturday night Organ/karaoke though.

What a lovely inn. It felt like a family run hotel with very hard working people with love for their job. The breakfast was made as I would have done at home. The omelet for breakfast was the best and service too.

I stayed here half way round a big solo Peak District bike ride. The team did an excellent job looking after me and my bike. I arrived late but - having phoned ahead - they'd saved me some food and made sure I was well fed and watered before heading to bed. I got a comfortable room for the night and my bike stayed securely indoors too. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent too.

Worst service we've experienced! We booked a table to meet friends for lunch. Staff were very rude and we felt like we were unwelcome. The icing on the cake was when a reserved sign was out on our table and we were told we have to leave as there's someone else coming in 5 min. If they needed the table, there were better ways of approaching it.|Food was poor quality and the side vegetables cold

The staff here are incredible. A very warm welcome and very attentive. The views are fantastic and the building is lovely. Delicious food and great service. You can feel the staff really care.
