We chose this hotel based on a review in The Telegraph that we found from a Google search. . We were looking for good food with the benefit of warm and inviting accommodation. The review suggested that TY wouldn’t disappoint. . The food was very good, my flat iron steak was cooked to perfection and just as I’d asked, which is not always a given. The sticky toffee pudding was just delicious. The staff were very attentive without being too intrusive. Unfortunately room 302, a river view ground floor was disappointing. Much smaller than we’d thought it would be. The bed was small and not King Size as advertised. In general it felt as if the room needed a refresh. The bathroom had some mould by the shower and the shower door doesn’t close properly. There was only one bath towel, and the loo roll seemed to be rationed. An additional towel was delivered promptly when we pointed this out. The carpet was threadbare in places and some paint chipped. We did have an enjoyable stay overall but ee felt the room was over sold in the description We like to come back to a warm, cosy and inviting room and sadly room 302 didn’t fit that requirement,

Our first stay in Bradford on Avon and Timbrell’s Yard came up trumps. Centrally located right next to the River Avon this is obviously a very popular venue. Parking was straight forward and our room clean, characterful and quirky. Normally we’d go out to dine in the evenings but our ‘package’ included a per person allowance when dining at the hotel. We are so glad we did. The menu was varied, the presentation beautiful and the quality - Outstanding! Compliments to all in the kitchen. What really tips the scales though is the quality of service. From our initial phone call and throughout our stay the staff were unfailingly attentive, happy, helpful and welcoming. Five star service?|Breakfast was a joy. Excellent variety and quality all delivered with smile and cheery chat that set you up for the day. Thank you ALL at Timbrell’s - Recommended.

We had a wonderful 6 night stay at Timbrell’s Yard. Doug, Olivia and Kara took wonderful care of us along with all the other kind staff. We had a split room with a loft bed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the view out the window watching the squirrels playing in the trees that hang over the River Avon gave us endless entertainment while we had morning tea.
The only comment specific to the loft room was that it did get warm up above but the A/C unit took care of that.
The breakfasts were delicious and the Sunday roast dinner was spot on.
The location is perfect. Right on the river path, a 3 min walk to the train station (which has long stay parking if the Yard’s small parking lot is full) and the pub is a vibrant place for a drink or coffee upon your return from sightseeing.
Highly recommended staying here.

So these comments relate to the restaurant that is a part of the hotel. Unfortunately, it does not seem that I am able to comment about the restaurant directly. The food is good, modern British, pub food. Well presented and well cooked. Some imagination in the dishes which is great. The house burger is generous to say the least. The location is pretty along a riverfront with a nicely presented dining room and outside sitting area for those warmer forgiving months when sitting outside is preferred. Would return!

I've regularly visited Timbrell's Yard over the years, and I have consistently enjoyed the lovely atmosphere and high-quality food. The restaurant's beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces create a perfect setting for a leisurely meal. In the summer it's especially nice to sit and enjoy a pint or glass of wine outside.

While the food is undoubtedly delicious, I've found the pricing to be on the steeper side, particularly at lunchtime. A recent steak sandwich for £16 was a treat, but felt a bit excessive. The menu is however very varied, and everything I've eaten has always been top quality.

The staff are very friendly and attentive, and overall, it's a fantastic spot for lunch or dinner in Bradford on Avon.

Stayed in Room 201, stunning views of the river below and my bed was on a mezzanine floor, dinner and breakfast were both delicious, would highly recommend and will defiantly be returning.

Spent the evening listening into the radio, with. Drink just looking out the window, very relaxed feel! The only hotel I’ve been to has a radio on playing when you walk into a room, very nice little touch!

Can’t wait to stay again!

Great service; friendly staff; super position by the river; delicious breakfast; and a well sourced bar (love the focus on independent drinks producers). Well done Timbrell’s Yard and staff team, keep up the great work.

Olivia at Trimble's Yard was an absolute delight! Her incredible energy and genuine happiness made our entire morning unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, her bright smile and positive attitude were infectious, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It's rare to find someone whose enthusiasm can truly elevate your day, but Olivia did just that, filling our morning with joy and making the experience so much more special. We left not only satisfied but genuinely uplifted, thanks to her. Thank you, Olivia, for making our day so wonderful!
