The Miclaren is conveniently situated just outside Shanklin town centre, in a quiet location, with gorgeous sea views. The night sky was magnificent! The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the breakfast menu had plenty of choice. Super guest house!

Stayed 2 nights at The Miclaran as part of a family gathering. Sue & Alan are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble when it comes to their guests needs. The whole property is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The freshly cooked breakfast really hits the spot, always served hot, you could have not ask for anything more, lots of choice. ||The outlook from the garden is amazing, a full sea view and so quiet. We would return without hesitation. ||I would recommend booking directly and not using a booking platform, Sue and Alan offer such a personal service which you do not receive when using websites.||||Thank you both for such a lovely weekend, you helped build more happy memories for our family

If anyone really wants to know how to run a top class guest house, look no further, contact the Miclaran in the beautiful Isle of White.
Alan & Sue are up there in every respect, from the warm engaging welcome, to the beautiful immaculate house with stunning sea views and the delicious breakfasts. Nothing is too much trouble for them and we felt at home immediately. The awesome breakfast was delivered in a relaxed light airy atmosphere, with sea views and looking out over their manicured gardens.
The parking is very well arranged with easy flat access, being in a quiet sea front road.
We had a very comfortable and totally spotless room, again, with the most incredible sea views, taking in sailing yachts and passing ships.
All in all, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning. Thank you Alan and Sue, you are brilliant.
Best Wishes, Brian and Carole xx

My first visit to IOW and wasn't disappointed. We stayed at The Miclaren and were so happy with our choice. We stayed in the king seaview room. A stunning seaview overlooking the very well maintained garden that we were able to use!|From start to finish nothing was too much trouble for Alan & Sue. We had a lovely welcome from Sue, who showed us around the premises and explained how to reach various parts of Shanklin.|The breakfast was amazing, well presented and plenty of choice, that could be altered to suit. I loved our little chats each morning with Alan at breakfast, so informative and can tell you anything you need to know about IOW.|The guest house is immaculate and very well maintained and I am certain we will be returning, and have already and will continue to recommend. Sue even helped us book our ferry crossing so I would encourage you to book direct to get that personal service too. Thank you Alan & Sue for a lovely stay, we loved IOW and The Miclaren. ||
