Staying for a couple of nights. Absolute luxury and bliss. Jonathan is so attentive and couldn't do more. He also knows alot about the area and where to eat and visit. Breakfast is beautiful and I had the best nights sleep in the big bed. Luxury coffee machine with fresh fruit and snacks that are replenished regularly. An interesting building, with so much to look at. Bathroom is bigger than my living room at home!! We will return!!

We would like to thank Yasmin and Jonathan from the bottom of our hearts for their loving hospitality! No request was too much for them and they took all our wishes into account and implemented them. Their historic house makes the heart of every Anglophile beating faster. The loving design down to the smallest detail has amazed us. Furthermore, we woke up with the view of the sea every morning and discovered the beautiful landscape and the tides. The prepared breakfast allowed us to feel like kings and Jonathan‘s recommendations helped us planning our tour through Liverpool.

If you want to do some sightseeing in Liverpool or enjoy a quiet holiday on the coast, then go to Yasmin and Jonathan to Aberley House! It's worth it. And don’t forget, you should definitely enjoy a walk to Crosby Beach!

The location was even better than I could have imagined - stepping out of the Aberley, a few steps across the road will see you directly onto a beautiful beach. There is no passing traffic as it is located at the end of the road in a closed off culdesac.|Our rooms were spacious and beautifully finished - a pair of binoculars was a thoughtful extra in the room to get fabulous views across the bay. Other little extras included a silky dressing gown for the few steps outside the bedroom to the bathroom. If you were peckish, along with coffee /tea making facilities just outside our room, snacks such as fresh fruit, crisps etc were available.|Your choice of breakfast (very extensive) is ordered the night before for a set time.|The bathroom is not ensuite, but shared by only 2 rooms, so not a big problem, and the beautiful Victorian bath more than compensates for this. (Dont worry, there is also a very uptodate modern shower!)

The night before we were due to visit, we realised our booking had been cancelled two weeks earlier and this was not the owners fault. However, he went to a great deal of trouble to accommodate us as he was actually fully booked. Throughout our stay, he ensured we had everything we needed and made us feel very much at home. The breakfasts were always perfectly cooked but wish I’d tried the lovely fluffy buttermilk pancakes earlier in our stay. The house and rooms are magnificent! Beautifully furnished and decorated with views of Liverpool Bay and Snowdonia. The house could not have been in a better location for access to central Liverpool (without the noise of being in a city) - as well as all that Crosby has to offer.

I had never been to Liverpool before and was trying to get a room near the docks but due to the Labour Party conference, every hotel there had limited availability.
I saw Aberley Guest House by chance online. As it isn’t far from the centre, it seemed like a good choice and was reasonably priced. We stayed in the Gormley room for two nights, just last week and it was beautiful. The whole house in fact, was stunning. The rooms do not have en-suite bathrooms but it didn’t bother us at all. The bathroom was huge and even had a victorian shower and bath tub which just blew me away.
I loved the the attention to detail; use of robes in the wardrobe, comfort station on the landing with snacks and drinks all included with the room. I very much enjoyed our stay. Jonathan was a very attentive host who made a wonderful breakfast.
I am hoping to return next year. Possibly during a warmer month so that we can enjoy the beach. Huge ‘thank you’ to Jonathan for making us feel so welcome.

Beautiful, atmospheric, imposing Victorian house. Our bedroom was very comfortable and quiet, with a view of the beach. Our bathroom, which retained many of its original Victorian features (but also had a lovely modern shower), was probably the largest and most interesting I've ever seen. Breakfasts were filling and delicious, with plenty of choice. Since this is an old house with high ceilings, it has the potential to get cold in winter. The host kindly provided us with dressing gowns, but if you're prone to feeling cold, packing bed socks and warm clothes wouldn't go amiss. Easy location from which to get into Liverpool.

We only stayed for one night however could have stayed forever. This property is absolutely stunning both inside and out. Perfectly located overlooking Crosby Beach with stunning views complete with sunsets from our bedroom window.||||This Victorian town house has been so lovingly cared for by the owner, the perfect host. The decor is beautiful and still maintaining the character and detail of the era. Such high attention to detail with nice little touches eg the Lindt chocolate hidden in the bathroom towel. Our room was not ensuite and we used a bathroom upstairs however a silk bathrobe was provided and adding a bathroom would have spoilt the character of the room. Nearby we had access to tea/coffee making facilities complete with pod coffee maker and snacks.||||It was a perfect stay and we enjoyed being here and if in the area would certainly stay again. Highly recommended.

Lovely rooms, fantastic bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice. Our host, Jonathan, went above and beyond, even giving our party a lift to a local restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble and we were quite demanding! Our relatives were also welcome to join us for breakfast.
Thanks Jonathan and wife for a lovely stay. We'll certainly be returning!
