I spent two nights at the lovely Abode Canterbury and was delighted with the comfortable accommodations, the friendly staff, great breakfasts, and most of all by the central location on High Street just steps away from all the important sights! I could easily step back in for a quick rest in the comfy room or bathroom break! It was a great choice and one of my favorite stays in my two weeks exploring Britain!

Visited for dinner and drinks, so no review of rooms. Service was exceptional, both restaurant and bar. Food was lovely, particularly enjoyed the rocket salad, smoked ham hock and croquettes. We ordered a few small plates to share and this was a great way to try lots of flavours.

Great cocktail selection, but also able to put together drinks not listed on the menu if the ingredients are available.

Wonderful bar area with stunning fireplace made for cosy post dinner drinks.

We had a wonderful three night birthday stay. Upon arrival we had been given a free upgrade, birthday wishes for my daughter with a lovely chocolate treat.Hotel was centrally located, great facilities & staff were so friendly and helpful. We had the best time and I can't say anything bad about the whole experience. It was excellent 👏

Was nice but room was small, to be fair we booked late and so didn’t have a massive choice of rooms. So possibly not a reflection on all rooms.

Breakfast was good.

Parking is first come first served and unfortunately we missed out so spent a further £15 on parking elsewhere further away too.

While it's not cheap, for our first time travelling with an infant, it was an amazing experience. Our room was upgraded, giving us plenty of room for nappy changes and nap time. Baby slept for 8 hours straight, so must have been comfortable in the cot provided by the hotel! Staff were friendly and diligent, double checking the bill to make sure we weren't overcharged. As a bonus, the brasserie is very good (we had dinner and breakfast there) with excellent service. Fantastic location in the center of town and right next to a supermarket for any forgotten essentials.

Great surprise on checking in to find we'd been upgraded to the Fabulous Suite. The food in the restaurant was delicious as were the cocktails in the cocktail bar. Reception was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning

Staff are very attentive and were great. The downstairs areas are lovely but the rooms need updating. Location is perfect for central Canterbury. Parking fills quickly so don’t expect a parking space.

Disappointed with the Abode hotel. No running hot water in the shower even after running for 10mins +. There is a constant banging and rattling from water pipes I expect but without war plugs you wouldn’t have got much sleep. Location was 10/10
So much potential with this hotel. The bar was a lovely place to work with a live pianist in the afternoon and lovely cocktails. Breakfast was disappointing as was a 25 minute wait to be served and the scrambled eggs didn’t look too terrific when they arrived to the table next to me so
Decided to skip breakfast. Staff are lovely just a shame the hotel is so dated
