Fantastic hotel. Did the job as an early layover before a flight. Perfect. They offer parking while you're away for a great price. The shuttle is great value for money too. Restaurant is delicious too. Will be back for sure. I don't really understand the negative views. People are expecting a ferrari while paying for a corsa.

To be honest, when I was looking for a place I was searching for something with the location being the priority. Based on the price I decided to take a room at Acorn Lodge, as it was inexpensive and by taxi or shuttle it’s only 6 minutes away from the airport.

The rooms are pretty basic standards, could be cleaner as there was some sticky stuff on the bathroom floor and in the shower was a bit dirty, but overall it was okay just for one night. It’s nice that they also offer free breakfast and convenient times but the breakfast quality is really not that great. Most of the food they offer is packaged and processed food that you can warm up.

But all in all if you’re looking for a cheap stay with a convenient location to the airport, I’d say this is a pretty reasonable option.

My fiancé booked this place for two nights on New Year’s Eve. We arrived early and had to wait for about 10 minutes and were allowed to check-in early. The hotel is very clean, smells fantastic, very warm and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much effort for them. The room was very clean, very nicely decorated and presented well. We didn’t dine in the family run restaurant and bar, although we did eat breakfast (served from 4-10am) both days. There was a good selection of cereals, fresh milk, bread, yoghurts, juice, coffee machine, fruit and pastries. There are also lots of dishes filled with a variety of complimentary mint sweets. The hotel have a car park, locked overnight. They offer an airport shuttle service, wake up service. They have a vending machine. Also, they have an alcohol free bar but allow you to bring your own alcohol and offer 15% discount when you dine in.
We had a very peaceful, comfortable stay. 5 stars 🌟 we WILL be booking again in the future. Many thanks for your kind hospitality. Highly recommend.

Some of the reviews aren’t great but I have no complaints about the hotel.

Picked us up at the airport 3.40am very pleasant helpful driver.
Helped to our room with cases.
Overall verdict definitely staying here again in the future.

Fantastic place. Absolutely brilliant food, ( if you want alcohol they are very happy for you bring your own ). Very Very friendly & welcoming! Rooms very comfortable!! Will definitely use ever time we fly from Gatwick. Thank you Acorn lodge.

We stayed 1 night as our flight came in late. Perfect location. Polite and friendly staff. Shuttle service is great value. Good choice at breakfast. Bathroom a little tired but room very adequate for our needs. Would definitely stay again for this purpose. Thank you.

We stayed here for one night en route to LGW airport the service we received was excellent. They organised a shuttle transfer for us next day and permitted our car to to remain on site for the duration of the whole trip,at reasonable charges ho, the room was a bit cold at night, so some extra blankets are needed. Other than that, a a nice place to stay for a while. Non-alcoholic bar, though, so keep that in mind. There is a pub, The Six Bells, not far away through the church graveyard.
