Writing on behalf of a friend, however they had payed for 2 nights but as they had no ID the lodge refused to let them stay, still no sign of a refund after contacting both the online booking service and calling the lodge themselves both are sending me back to each other!! Personally I'd stay away as this is the 3rd person I know who has been scammed money and left woth nowhere to go in the last 2 months

Clean and basic. What I expected. Warm room, comfortable bed. Handy location, car parking is very welcome. Curtains were too small for the very large windows so I was woken by the sun rise. Would stay again.

Partner was put here for work and I thought I'd never hear the end of it. From the gut rotting smell throughout the place, the dead bugs in the rooms, the general shabby appearance and noise through the 'lodge' it seemed like a week of hell for him. The staff he encountered were very rude and despite the place being booked and paid for by his work, he will never be going back. Staff also tried to take a £20 deposit per person from the three lads booked into separate rooms upon their stay which was refused by them. Unsure what the deposit could possibly be for in such a run down place? It could be burned to the ground and be better than how it currently is!

Booked a room here for my husband and the experience could not have been worse, firstly they tried to say it wasn’t him on his drivers licence when he showed ID, this was after I had prepaid the room on my card, finally after sorting this they went to the room, it was like something from a horror film when he face timed me, there was also no TV remote in the room so he couldn’t watch television, fast forward to today - Friday (5 days later) still no security deposit returned, I phoned them and they told me that when he vacated the property there was no TV remote, so they will not return the deposit and I have ultimately been charged for this remote being stolen. Rooms are filthy, bedding was filthy, the man on reception was rude and anything but helpful, please do yourselves a favour and do NOT stay here. I don’t know who is writing these good reviews but it doesn’t even deserve the one star it already has.

We Stayed A couple of nights in a ground floor family room which was comfortable and clean with a good unsuite shower.There was a fridge, microwave,Tv and Free Wi-Fi . Adequate wardrobe and drawer space a kingside double bed with two other singles, two armchairs, table and 4 chairs and plenty of space in the room. Good value for price charged. £130.

I stayed here for 4 nights with my two young children. We received a really warm welcome and speedy check in process. The room was a spacious family room with a comfortable double and single bed, dining table and chair, kettle with tea and coffee. The bathroom was a good size with powerful shower, all areas were very clean. The location was ideal, a 5 minute walk to Morrison (for breakfast) and a 10 minute walk to the gosport ferry terminal. The team here are friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. A couple of nights there were some noisy guests but they did respectfully turn their music off when asked to turn it down. We had a nice stay here, we knew that there would be no dining facilities so we just kept a little stock of snacks.

Horrible Horrible Horrible, do not listen to positive reviews, I refuse to believe there real. Stayed here for 4 nights as my company booked it for me while working in gosport, place stinks to high heavens, the 1 staff member I encountered during my stay was rude, and become very aggressive when I had a shower and some how that caused the fire alarm to go off in my room, barged in to my room when I was in nothing but a towel screaming I have to keep the door shut, during and after using the shower... the curtains didn't fit the windows so even if you did want to lay in (which I would NOT in such a rancid place) it would be impossible... all sorts of weird noises through the night coming from the undesirable clientel.

It is a great location. The hotel is very clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our continental breakfast too.
