The rooms are close to everything you need (gym, commissary, etc). Wasn’t aware that there was a breakfast that was available because no one has talked about it the times I have stayed here. The rooms have very basic items in the kitchens. A few pots, a pan, and well used measuring cups. I would suggest they reevaluate what items they have in the kitchen. There is no blow dryer in the bathroom for the ladies and very little storage. It is very quite though in and around the hotel. They cleaning crew do a great job of keeping the place tidy.

The hotel on RAF Alconbury is all about function over frills, but for a base lodging option, it does the job. The rooms are clean, simple, and have just enough space to make you feel comfortable, though don’t expect luxury touches. It’s the kind of place where you’ll get a decent night’s sleep, a hot shower, and easy access to everything on base without having to navigate the chaos of off-base accommodations.

Amenities are pretty standard, with a small fitness area and laundry facilities to keep things convenient. The staff is friendly and helpful, which makes check-in and any issues a breeze. While the breakfast is included, it’s more on the “fuel up and go” side rather than anything gourmet, so don’t come expecting a five-star spread.

If you’re here for work, TDY, or just passing through, it’s a solid, no-fuss place to stay. It may not be the most exciting hotel experience, but it’s convenient, reliable, and gets the job done without breaking the bank.

Decent lodging at RAFA. Very old but kept up at one time RAFA was going to be closed so I doubt they want to put much into upkeep. Good for large families or with pets toxstay in TLA. If single or a couple better stay at the Marriott or Holiday Inn much cheaper there and you get free breakfast. Staff aleays been nice when I dropped off newcomers. Wish they didn't raise the stay prices so high used to be sucjmh a great deal especially when TDY. No complaints good small billiting on a small quiet base.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Please take into consideration before booking that if you're posh and like fancy things that this isn't going to be the Ritz-Carlton. This is military housing that has been updated and is made into little apartments. They are fabulous if you have a dog or a cat traveling with you. The apartments are clean and the cleaning staff will supply you with more items as you need them. They will give you a fabulous welcome bag upon arrival. Free coffee in the lobby. Free laundry facilities. Grounds are well kept. Grocery store, PX, Subway, Starbucks all on base.

The service was excellent. The staff there were very nice and responded fantastically to all questions. The beds were fine and the rooms were plenty warm. The kitchen was actually decent it had pots and pans and silverware for you to use. The room had plenty of electrical outlets enough to start a business if you really wanted to. It's fine if you just want to stay a day or two.

The AF needs to update the inn. Felt like I took a trip back to the 80s. Water also had some problems smelled and tasted a bit off. I don't know if it was due to the old pipes or water source but definitely something going on. There were stalagmites and stalagtites starting along the walkways due to lack of upkeep. My room had three light bulbs burnt out and one that flickered like it came right out of a horror movie. After spending quarantine and three weeks trying to find a house it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

We stayed in one of the pet homes for our transition to the UK and it was comfy, clean and a great way to transition! Front desk staff was super friendly and hospitable and our house keeping crew was great! Shout out to Stuart and Mohamed who were our regulars! Stuart was our local human information desk!!!🤣 He really helped us with the little things that sometimes get overlooked, like internet provider, best area to live etc. Thank you to all the staff at the Britannia!

Not a great choice, if you can avoid it. Despite two-room accommodations, the hotel is outdated and somewhat in disrepair. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, and it was only staffed until 1700. They have an evening check in option, but it's not possible to log into the computers or grab a coffee. Next time I visit, I'm going to look for an off-base hotel willing to match the on-base rate as I'm confident that The Britannia Inn will never have to issue a non-availability letter.
