Peaceful and relaxing. Far bigger than we expected but so cosy and welcomed. We arrived during a terrible storm. We were so reassured by the solid structure of the building. We felt safe even in a howling wind and rain. We were so pleased when we got a beautiful sunny day so we could see the expansive views at their best.
Would highly recommend and will be staying again as soon as I can.

Excellent venue for an extended family weekend break. Use of all 5 cottages plus the communal area made it a great place to stay and the views of the surrounding area are stunning. Easy access to Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Would love to post more stars but owner cancelled our family holiday at 1 months notice even though we booked a year in advance. Cited double booking with a wedding. So either incompetent with booking system or greedy, cancelling us in preference for a wedding. Whichever it is, it scuppered our family holiday that we'd been looking forward to for ages. Now it's too late to rebook anywhere ideal. Would recommend avoiding this place if you want confidence in your booking.

Amazing place. The views are incredible, the cottages very nicely setup. It is the perfect place to stay to visit Whitby, but not be in the heart of the town. The owners were so helpful and accommodating. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

We absolutely loved our stay in Byre Cottage, cosy and comfortable with everything you would need for an enjoyable break away. The owners couldn't have done more to make us welcome and their extensive knowledge of the area set us on many happy adventures and treasured memories. Excellent value for money!

Perfectly equipped warm, cosy cottages nestled on a bucolic hillside at the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.

When booking as a large group an adjoining barn was made available with ample space for games, socialising, cooking and dining.

We have visited before, this time we stayed in the cottage called Home, the views were stunning and the cottage was warm and cosy with a great log burner. It was absolutely perfect for our base to explore the North East.

The kids loved the 5k walk around the grounds down through the fields with the cows, sheep & lamb.

As a returning customer, we love this place, I was impressed with the new covid procedures, cleanliness was amazing.

From an EV point of view, there's free charging at Aldi 3 miles down the road.

Best of all, the views from the toilet are breathtaking... 🤩 #BestToiletViews
