Really lovely tea rooms, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly and our border collie soon settled down for a nap in the conservatory where we ate our lunch.
We both had the Derbyshire Oatcake with butchers sausage and onion marmalade.
There were two thick and delicious sausages and plenty of marmalade. The dressed salad was lovely too and the homemade coleslaw really nice.
We'd walked to Ashford in the Water from Bakewell and happened upon the tearooms by chance.
Would recommend.

Visited this lovely tea room shortly before closing and although we were unable to sit in for a drink, we were able to grab a takeaway. The warm friendly welcome, nice cup of coffee along with the clean, well presented shop area has encouraged us to visit when in the area in the future.

Lovely little cafe/takeaway in this gorgeous village! Being used by locals - always a good sign.

Small and quirky! Charmingly friendly chap doing the 'hosting'! I'm not one for going into cafes on my own but I would suggest this is a place that people on their own would feel comfortable. I feel he would happily chat the day away with anyone ☺️. Small shop at the front with seating behind. Lovely, quirky little conservatory on the back. Nice little garden, up some steps, with a chicken or two wandering round.

I've knocked one star off as there wasn't any cake I could eat today ( my fault, not yours - allergies and a good dose of radiotherapy😕) so can't really judge them. I'll be happy to up it to 5 stars if, next time we come, I can eat something.👍🏻

5 star food hygiene score. Good, no nonsense menu. Very reasonably priced. Great spot to pick if either out rambling that way or on a scenic drive. Gorgeous village. Definitely worth a visit👍🏻

We were on the hunt for somewhere to have breakfast with our two children and happened to come across this cozy little tearoom in Ashford-in-the-Water—what a find! The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier.

We had delicious scones and paninis, all freshly made and full of flavor. It was also really child-friendly, which made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable for the whole family.

Thank you to the wonderful team for such lovely service—you made our morning!

Spent a sunny morning in Ashford, trying but failing to get a nice image of the bridge. No light was getting to the structure at all. Then I spotted a cafe on Fennel Street. Aisseford Tearooms pronounced Ace Ford is a delightful and homely establishment with a cheery feel to it. The service was excellent and served up with a good dollop of humour, just the sort of thing that daft old Yorkshiremen enjoyed before the world turned sour and dark. Yorkshire humour was exercised every minute of the day in years past, indeed it is what inspired the comedy 'Last Of The Summer Wine. ' Though I didn't order food, I could see that a very high standard is being maintained here. In a former life I was a banquet waiter and I noted the hand carrying skills that were being employed by the staff. If you're in Ashford you must visit this place.
Well done staff!

What a great find. And dog friendly.
I had a ham and piccalilli sandwich, served with a salad, a little coleslaw and some crisps. We also had scone with jam and cream. Delicious lunch!!
Finished off with a Nottinghamshire made salted caramel ice-cream, that too was delicious.
Garden was closed as there were recently hatched chicks.
Chris and Cheryl made us feel very welcome and gave us a list of places to visit while we were here.
Hope to come back again.
Make sure you walk around the bridge, beautiful.

Having had a lovely walk over to Monsel Head and back we were after a quick bite to eat and had seen this place when parking up earlier.

Lovely service, very quaint and busy but there was a table available. Service was quick and very friendly, prices are very reasonable and portion sizes were great - even my son was full which is rare.

Will definitely be coming back in the future.
