We stayed here for May Bank holiday as our son is based nearby for a family weekend together. On arrival the caravan was absolutely beautiful. It was furnished to a high standard and very clean. The park itself is very well kept and peaceful. The pub onsite is a lovely addition to your stay and the food was really good. We really enjoyed the bank holiday party on Sunday and my little boy had a brilliant time playing football on the field with the other children. We are already planning on our return and bringing the grandparents to show them why we had such a lovely stay.

Liked: Lovely clean site, staff very friendly, kids play area was great and the dog exercise field very good. Pub was nice with great outdoor seating.

Disliked: Toilet/shower block needs updating, showers where cold on an evening and melting hot early morning. Still useable just a little dated

We really loved our stay at Akebar. We had a 3 bedroom lodge which was pretty much brand new and very well equipped. The hot tub was great too. There is a pub/restaurant attached which serves amazing food, but probably a bit on the expensive side. The park has a lot of family friendly facilities such as free crazy golf, football pitch, play area, dog walk park and also a larger golf course. My wife also had a massage at the beauty rooms which she really enjoyed. Location is perfect for exploring the Yorkshire Dales

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay. The park itself is stunning, with a beautifully maintained environment. The designated dog exercise area was a highlight, providing the perfect space for our dog to burn off some energy. The atmosphere was incredibly friendly, making for a very welcoming experience.||As for the caravan, it exceeded all expectations. This was by far the best-equipped caravan holiday we’ve ever experienced. Thoughtful touches like complimentary coffee, tea, washing-up liquid, towels, sponge, and cloth made us feel right at home. We were even provided with small toiletries for the bathroom in case we hadn’t brought any with us. The inclusion of a washing machine and dishwasher (even though we didn’t use the latter) is perfect for families, ensuring a convenient and comfortable stay.||The beds were exceptionally comfortable, there was plenty of space throughout, and the hot tub added an extra touch of luxury to the experience. The surrounding areas are also easily accessible, making it a great location to explore.||In short, this stay was nothing short of fantastic. We can’t wait to return and would rate this experience a solid 1000 out of 10!

I have been a visitor to Akebar Park on several occasions now. It is situated in the most picturesque of settings! The site is immaculate with playground facilities for the children and a specific exercise area for your dogs.
I enjoyed a meal in the Friars restaurant for the first time last night. The menu choice was varied with something to meet everyone’s palate. The staff were polite and friendly! I would thoroughly recommend to anyone. Go on book a table and enjoy a lovely meal 🥹🥹 oh and I’m told the Sunday lunches are fabulous .. I’ll try that on my next visit 🤭

Just returned from a lovely relaxing weekend break at one of the recently installed lodges, with my partner and dog. (arkendale pet) I believe we were only the second guests so everything was much brand new…..It had a very well stocked kitchen, including a ninja airfryer. The WiFi was fast so could stream Netflix etc. The main bedroom was very nice, beds were comfy and also had a smart tv mounted on the wall and a en-suite with a shower. Hot tub was fab, just the right tempature. 🫧 |The site it’s self is lovely and quiet with a mixture of tourers, caravans and lodges. |We would definitely return in the future. 🙂
