Stayed here for two nights, absolutely superb. Colleen is an amazing hostess, friendly and welcoming. Room was lovely, with some nice personal touches to make our stay perfect. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, loads of choice and plenty for two people. We highly recommended Aldebaran to anyone thinking of booking. We will definitely return later in the year.

We have just got back from a lovely weekend in Whitby and our first time staying at the Aldebaran B&B.
It’s Perfectly situated within minutes of Whitby and surrounded but stunning scenic countryside views.
The owners Colleen and Craig were so very friendly and helpful. They made our stay so enjoyable and comfortable and are clearly dedicated to ensuring guest satisfaction.
Our Room was spotless, spacious and well equipped with all necessary amenities including finishing touches such as dressing gowns . The shower was glorious and the bed was out of this world! We both said that it was best nights sleep we have had in ages! The continental breakfast which was delivered in a gorgeous wicker basket was delicious and had a great variety of options to choose from.
We had such a great stay and have already booked to stay here again in the summer!

EXCELLENT B&B 10/10

Long weekend away in Whitby for my wife's birthday. Choose Aldebaran B&B for the location, price and views to which it didn't disappoint. Colleen was a fabulous host!!! The passion is clear to see, the small details throughout were a gem, super clean and tidy, also very welcoming - really felt like home.

Will be back again for sure, thank you both.

Found the B&B on booking.com. Arrived at destination with ease. We were welcomed by Colleen of this quaint establishment. She is very pleasant and very informative of the area .|We had a 2 night stay in Guest Room No 2, which was up a flight of narrow stairs.|On entering the room, we noticed how clean and fresh the room was, there is a large flat screen TV, Fridge with fresh Milk & Orange juice, Tea & Coffee making facilities and a Toaster, there is no en suite in this room....but there is a separate bathroom next door with roll top bath, toilet and walk in shower (this is used only by Room 2 guests.)|Breakfast is of the continental style. This is provided in a Basket, fresh, every morning.. with loads of options.|Room 2 has magnificent views of the garden ( which is accessible to guests) and the valley beyond, with the occasional Steam train passing by.|Nothing was too much trouble, and if we needed anything, Colleen was on hand to sort it.|A very pleasant stay in a very secluded place, no noise either.|One request from Colleen, which may seem a little strange, is that you removed footwear on entry.|When you see this gorgeous property you can understand why. |Wouldn't think twice of returning, a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.|10/10

Friendly B&B with a lovely room and generous (cold) breakfast basket provided.|Very clean room,|Sponge bed will suit some people more than others. We prefer a sprung bed.|Ideal base for trips around and the train to Whitby is just down the road. (Although NYMR trains go through the station, they don't stop there and Northern Rail seem to have a timetable deliberately timed to miss convenient connections at Grosmont)

Just got back from a weekend away and can honestly say this was the best B&B we have stayed in. Colleen was the perfect host and we were made to feel very welcome from stepping through the door on arrival. Everything was perfect. Rooms spotlessly clean and well equipped, continental breakfast was delicious, fridge stocked on arrival, bed so comfortable, en suite bathroom with lovely shower and views are amazing. Locals are friendly and if you do visit, go to the salmon leap for a drink and a laugh with the locals. We will be returning later this year.

Nice cozy clean place with a beautiful view of the country side. Bed was comfy, slept very well. Nice location outside of the city that we used as a base while we explored the area. The stocked mini fridge and goodie basket worked perfectly for breakfast. We were glad we picked this place to stay. Thank you!

We have been to Whitby many times and stayed in Whitby itself . This b and b is just a bit out of Whitby 5-10 mins in taxi . It’s a beautiful place spotlessly clean and fab views . We had an en suite room and a room with own bathroom. Breakfast is delivered to your door , Cereal fresh fruit crumpets bread for toast croissants this is a lovely refreshing change instead of having a time for breakfast. Very relaxing very quiet . We had taxis into Whitby , the steam train runs through the day but we didn’t get round to catching it probably if we had been there longer . The hosts Colleen and Craig are very attentive nothing is too much trouble . There is parking across the road -perfect . A little gem will definitely be returning thank you !
