This is really how a guest house should be, and having stayed in Bournemouth for many years we have certainly tried a few. Andi and James are genuinely friendly people, who seem to enjoy what they are doing. Relaxed enviroment with room to sit outside with a book or take advantage of the lounge/dining room. Rooms comfortable and ours was extremely quiet with everything we needed. Shall I mention the poached eggs? James has perfected the art, but all the breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice. Close to sea in one direction and shops and restaurants in the other, it really is a pefect spot. Indeed we have already booked up our next stay. Thank you both and look forward to seeing you again.

Most beautiful little bed and breakfast by the sea in South England! Andi and James were amazing hosts, who cook up the best food! Loved every minute staying here! Bournemouth is also a great village with lots to do and shop around! 10/10 recommend, if you are looking for a comfortable and serviced inn.

Alexandra lodge was glowing with beautiful plants and flowers outside the front door . We had a very warm welcome from Andie and James which made us feel very special .|| Our room was a good size with enough room to relax in the arm chairs watching the TV if we wanted to .

I stayed at Alexander Lodge while attending a weekend course in Southbourne. What a gem! |Off street parking in front of the building, and a lovely slightly quirky house when you enter. My room was spotless, comfortable and had everything i could want. Very close to the main street with plenty of evening food options.And breakfast was fab!|Thank you Andi and James - will definitely be visitinng again next time in Bournemouth

Exceptional family run B&B. Ideal location just 2 mins from Southbourne beach. Comfortable rooms, well decorated with en- suite facility.
Breakfast was a delight with home made bread and hash browns. Such a friendly atmosphere, James & Andy are great hosts. See you next year.

Lovely weekend stay. My husband booked for our wedding anniversay. No complaints at all, location was super convenient but set back from the noisy part of town, so peaceful. The room was massive and beautifully decorated. The hosts were friendly, attentive and accomodating. Quality Breakfast, delicious locally sourced ingredients. If we we're visiting the area again, this will be our top choice to book again.

Although Bournemouth is a big, noisy and restless town, you'll find plenty of peace and quiet in Southbourne at Alexander Lodge. Andi and James are very friendly and welcoming. The room was very nice, comfy beds and a delicious breakfast in a lovely room. 2 Minutes in one direction is the sea and long beach and 2 minutes in the other direction is a main road where there are restaurants, supermarkets and a petrol station. So it's a great location.
