Amazing layout of lodge and nipping clean.|Three days passed too quickly !!|Would love to return some day.|This was a lovely relaxing weekend.|Used the park as a base, visiting nearby York and surrounding attractions.|We couldn't fault the cleanliness and general facilities. |After hours of walking, we all enjoyed chilling in the hot tub. The beds were really comfortable and we all slept soundly.|The bar on site wasn't the cheapest around, however the quality and portion size was superb.|The only criticism I would have is that the shop remained closed throughout our stay, so we had to go to the local Nisa/CoOp about a mile away.|Overall, we loved our stay and were really sad to leave.....especially our 12 year old grandson.

We arrived early and thought I would ask if the lodge was ready. It was. Brilliant I said, then she said quite abruptly that's £15 early check in fee, I was so shocked .As a GM of a very large hotel we always let people check in if the room is ready. So we went to sit in the beer garden for 2 hours to wait. Then I remembered we had my diabetic grandsons insulin in the car so he went in to ask if it could be placed in a fridge as it HAS to be and was told no but we have a room I can put it in. Not ideal but better than in the car as it was very warm. 48 hours before we were due to arrive I received an email with a link for a £200 security dep. I thought it was a scam so rang the park to confirm and it was correct so I had to pay. If that was in the T&C I missed it. who reads them anyway. If you do not have a car you are stuck for groceries as there is no little shop to purchase milk or anything. The lodge it self was beautiful and very clean. The welcome pack for the dogs was a lovely touch but nothing for the humans. Only 1 toilet roll in the two toilets and as I stated no shop on site. 8am every morning loud noisy machinery doing maintenance, Im on holiday SHUT UP so early I work hard 7 days a week and want to wake up at my own pace. For £950 I expected some milk , tea bags to be in the lodge. Small courtesy, other places manage it.

Stayed in Honey bee Carnoustie drive for 4 nights of relaxation, had a great stay, everything you require for your stay is a on hand in the lodge.|It’s obviously rented out out often and has slight wear and tear where people have not looked after the lodge by taking shoes off etc but that is a very minor issue, just pointing out small things noticed. The location is spot on for an excellent chill out short break overlooking the pond from the decking. Very nice hot tub but owing to the extreme heat 🥵 of the weather only used once.|Have stayed in many lodges over the years booked through Hoseasons and this rates very high (9/10).|It is a very quiet area with a nice touch having the on site (JJ’s bar and restaurant.|All in would highly recommend the park.|Cheers SteveC

Highly recommend this Holiday park. Stayed twice before and booking again. Lodges are immaculate and very well equipped and finishes . Grounds are lovely and well kept .The on-site restaurant has really good quality food and service . Try and stay away from the dessert counter , I dare you! . Plenty of room in the lodges for 2 adults and 3 kids ||Had an issue with the hottub on the first night, wouldn't reach temperature. Team identified and issue and replaced parts the nexy day, we were immediately offered a free weekend just becuase we were unable to use the hot tub first night of our stay. Amazing customer service.||Lovely peaceful setting but 10 minutes from the desinger outlet and another 10 into York city centre.

The house keeping and maintenance need some attention||Positives - the site, grounds, location and layout/quality of the lodge was lovely. Jjs bar/restaurant was good and reasonably priced.|Negatives - The cleanliness and maintenance of the lodge was very poor. We had the diamond lodge which was the best one they offer. On arrival when we walked into the lodge we were immediately hit with a smell only to find that bins had not been emptied from the last occupant’s. Drinking glass in bathroom was still covered in toothpaste and lipstick. They sent house keeping in who emptied the bins, cleaned the patio doors and cleaned the dirty extracted fan but that was a waste of time as the extracted did not work. There was still an old bar of soap left in the shower, finger prints on the patio doors, we even found a Jjs receipt (from 2 months ago) under the sofa if we saw it why did housekeeping not. This lodge was quite dirty and poorly maintained. The chairs by the kitchen island were rusty. Crockery was all miss matched and one glass was cracked and left in the cupboard.|We woke up on the second morning with no hot water throughout the lodge and no cold in the bathroom they came and fixed the hot water and said they would send someone to repair the cold but nothing materialised. The site needs to spend some money on replacing items, better housekeeping and maintenance to warrant a five star luxury site.|We were really disappointed that the pizza shack and shop were closed for the duration of our stay and should have been notified of this beforehand as it was one of the selling points of choosing this site.|They asked for a £200 deposit on arrival for damages etc they should offered us the £200.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely holiday lodge. It was the perfect place to enjoy quality family time. The kids absolutely loved the hot tub and had so much fun. The surroundings were peaceful and relaxing, making it an ideal weekend getaway. Highly recommended!

We actually own a Lodge on this Park, which we purchased 12 months ago, The surroundings are beautiful, With the Lovely Kites flying above you, along with the ducks and ducklings following behind.
The rabbits scuttling around and squirrels running up and down the trees. Not forgetting our resident swan Sid. The wildlife around the park makes it Magical. there are a number of lakes on the park with fountains enhancing the lodges surrounding them. Coming through the barrier at JJs passing the well kept golf course, over the streams. That is where our heaven starts every day and would recommend this life to everybody.
The restaurant is also a bar and serves brilliant food and caters for all tastes. After seeing a winter through at Allerthorpe golf and country park, I have found our lodge to be very warm and comfortable place to live. with full gas central heating. And Electric fires etc
Not forgetting the hot tub the most relaxing place on the planet.
I always say our lodge is more like a bungalow without the costs. The village of Allerthorpe is like our very own Emmerdale with the village pub (the plough) half a mile away from the park and is the entrance to Allerthorpe woods for those who Like Rambling ,dog walking

The Team at Allerthorpe do it right with high standards of there own from the owners to the workers. This has changed our lives for the Better.

Just had a brilliant, relaxing 4 day break with my husband on the country park, staying at Honey Bee lodge on Carnoustie drive. From booking in to leaving (😭😭) had a great stay, very friendly staff, lodge brilliant in a great location with everything you need to enjoy your stay even a restaurant and pub (JJ’s ) offering good food and drinks. Only used hot tub once owing to the very hot weather but guess it’s brill on a cold evening.
Thanks to All the staff and the owner of the lodge.
