We had the most blissfully relaxing stay at Alum House Glamping. We were greeted by ducky and the wonderful Michelle and made to feel so welcome. We loved the wood-fire heated hot tub under the stars with the sound of owls in the trees and nature all around. We slept so well on the comfy bed with the sound of the babbling brook nearby. This was such a magical stay and we will book again. If you book please book through their website!

This place is an amazing hidden gem! Spotlessly clean, beautiful surroundings, and a great hot tub. Owners were lovely, we were late and they didn’t make any fuss, but had the hot tub ready! 5 stars

We stayed in one of the dome tents and it was fantastic. The location is great, the (private) amenities were great, the cooking facilities were great - it was such a lovely weekend. Michelle is a wonderful host.

I was walking the Coast to Coast Path and rang them up for a tent pitch, on arrival the two lovely hosts said I could use one of their glamping tents for no extra charge. Set in a lovely place, only downside is they have a duck 🦆 that insists on greeting you and proceeds to nibble your leg and even going to the toilet it waddled over and followed me back to my tent nibbling my leg all the way 🤣. Also a lovely breakfast bun in the morning for £5. If passing again I would definitely stay again. Top class

Just had to leave a review to say we had the best couple of nights at Alum House. Michelle and Glen were really welcoming, the location was beautiful and our kids had a magical time - especially in the hot tub! Falling asleep listening to owls was just wonderful and we’ll definitely be back. An awesome place for a stay and really convenient for accessing Whitby too.

What an absolutely stunning little setting. Our bell tent was lovely, wood fired hot tub was amazing and private bathroom had everything you need.
Made for a perfect, relaxing weekend away. Michelle couldn't do enough for us - very attentive and lovely to chat to her and Glen. Look forward to returning 😊

Lovely place for a weekend getaway. The tent is really well equipped and lots of space for a family with young children. The hot tub was great, the kids loved it and it was perfect for relaxing with bubbles after they had gone to bed. The kitchen and bathroom whilst small were fine for a weekend away. Michelle and Glen were really lovely and helpful, the bacon butties on the last morning were well received! Overall a great place to stay!

What an absolutely wonderful place to come and spend some quality time with family. Michelle and Glen are so warm and welcoming. They made us feel so at home and nothing was too much trouble at all. We stayed for three nights with our two children (6 & 3 yrs) and we all had a fantastic time relaxing and exploring the local area. We would definitely come back and will be recommending all our friends and family to stay here too! If you're considering staying here, book it now!
