We loved our short stay (3 nights) at The Amarillo. This gorgeous B&B stands out from all others in every way. The owners, Jane and Jed are welcoming and full of great ideas, offering their advice on where to visit and eat - all tried and tested by them so they know what they are talking about. Parking available and also free parking on the road. The room we stayed in (room 2) was perfect for our stay - beautifully decorated- and a fabulous shower. The entrance to the B&B is lovely and everywhere was spotless. Breakfast is fantastic. Different items arrived each day, great choice and beautifully presented. The beach is 10 mins walk - easy to get to, down the zig zag, and you arrive at a sandy, clean and happy beach. |We would stay at the Amarillo again and genuinely hope to do so. If you are thinking of staying in Bournemouth then The Amarillo should be top of your list. A very huge thank you to Jane and Jed.

Owners were out when we arrived but they left info. on how to access the accom. We duly opened the door lock and were greeted with a musty damp smell which was coming from the downstairs rooms?| The "King Room" was similar in size to my boxroom at my home (standing area 6x6feet with a sloping ceiling and no hazard warning tape or paint) I banged my head a few times!! The saving grace was the owners friendly and chatty manner.

What a great little find! We were desperate for a short break, and to see the sea, so we booked the Amarillo based on the reviews it had received. All of the reviews are very justified, the property is in a fantastic location to access the town centre, the beach and the railway station in order to explore some more of Dorset.||The owners of the property, Jane and Ged, are some of the most helpful and informative people you will ever meet. The recommendations provided made our trip easy and enjoyable, from bus routes to restaurant recommendations.||The stay was without fault. Parking was very easy (and we were kindly allowed to leave our car there after checkout), the continental breakfasts were very good, the property was spotlessly clean and the hosts were brilliant.||We stayed in room 8 which is the room stating "private bathroom". This room's bathroom is a very short distance from the room itself and caused no issue at all, a robe was even provided to make the short journey! One small word of advice to anyone booking, the ceiling to this room is very low in places, and myself being 6ft + made it slightly difficult at times. THIS IS NOT A NEGATIVE, if you are slightly taller then I would very highly advise that you book one of the other rooms, because the stay is definitely worth it.

This was our 1 st trip to Bournemouth . Hosts at Armarillo were very very welcoming , friendly, informative polite and courteous. Bonus was the parking facility ! It was beautifully furnished and super clean. Room was very comfortable and spacious and they had thought of everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Tea & coffee making facilities & Top ups conveniently available + a mini fridge. We had a good nights sleep which was so welcome! Breakfast was a generous selection of crumpets ,pastries, cereals, fruit, yogurt and selection of juices in addition to hot tea and coffee.Something for everyone. |Hosts were very friendly and helpful and a font of information. Recommended a meal at an Italian restaurant called Etna’s at 181 Charminster road where we enjoyed a delicious and generous meal which was in fact comparable /better than the meal we had in Venice. Staff were so friendly and attentive. The meal was finished off beautifully with a complimentary glass of Limoncello which was so generous of them. A huge Thank-you to the staff and Chef at Etna. |Would stay at the Amarillo on future visits and so very pleased to be able to recommend this lovely paradisiacal Oasis. A very huge Thankyou x

Lovely guesthouse, room was clean and organised and had everything we needed for our 1 night stay. Great selection of breakfast options. Jane and Ged were friendly and helpful. They were out when we arrived but had left clear directions on how to access the house and get to our room which was prepared for us. Easy walk to the seafront and pier, and BIC. Would stay again if we're back in the area.

What a lovely little gem! So beautifully decorated throughout. Jane and Ged were the best hosts, so lovely and helpful, even prior to our arrival. I wish we could have been there longer as there’s so much to do and see around there. If we go to Bournemouth again, we will definitely be staying here!
