Amazing Space - Day Spa Kent - Rochester

Came for 50th birthday gift with my daughter, from my son .
Everything was clean and staff were friendly and welcoming.
There was also a lovely selection of Elemis products & candles on display to purchase .

The chill out waiting room was lovely calm and clean . So great start .
I was asked by my therapist any concerns and stated I was waiting for an operation on my knee & I work long hours standing so relaxation was key and that was what I really wanted from the treatment.
I’m not giving names as I feel that’s unnecessary, the girls know.
My daughter was really happy with her massage.
Mine was a little bit too rough, elbows and knuckles were pushed very hard into the skin and unfortunately I wasn’t asked if the pressure was OK or if I was comfortable.
I have woken today with everything aching and in pain , which is a shame as I so wanted to relax .
I had to leave work early today & should imagine the therapists hands must be hurting today also from doing the treatment.
A lot of Effleurage and hard needing .
Also no gentle percussion or cupping or any head massage . No wipe down towels after . Or aftercare..
The girls themselves were lovely but I didn’t really require a sports massage nor ask for one . Which is a shame .
Think it’s important and essential to ask clients if they are comfortable during treatment and go a bit more gentle .
Rochester itself was very pleasant to visit .
Would come again.

I adore this place. Friendly staff, very talented and nice. Lovely clean environment, super relaxing. It's not cheap, but it is wonderful!! Stocks Jessica and Elemis, which are both super brands. My family know that when birthdays and xmas comes around to get me an Amazing Space gift voucher 😀
Had Japanese Foot Massage and Herbal Back Cleanse (a facial for the back basically) yesterday, it was so so fabulous. Thank you to all at Amazing Space!

I had an amazing pedicure here last Sunday. From the minute I walked in I felt completely at ease. I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist and she then walked me to the pedicure room.
I was looked after by the lovely Loretta, she was very professional, friendly and we had a lovely chat. Loretta did a relaxing pedicure for me, a good exfoliation, moisturise and neat gel polish. My feet are now smooth and summer ready. Thanks Loretta!

I recently was gifted a voucher for my birthday for an Elemis facial. On arrival the lady on the desk was very cheery and made me feel instantly at ease. I relaxed in the relaxation room before a lovely lady called Jane collected me for my facial. If I could give 10 stars I would, the facial was just what I needed, the room was lovely a warm, the spa was very clean and the atmosphere was so calming. Jane was an absolute diamond and so lovely (thank you) I will definitely be returning and would recommend both the spa and Jane to anyone.🤍

Sadly last time I'll be going there for a massage. 3 stars are purely for Jenny, as she's a great massage therapist, I would give 5 stars for her alone. Otherwise, whilst the decor is nice and they have a relaxation room, which is a nice touch, the other massage therapists just aren't up to par with their massage skills. Everyone is lovely and polite but you really have to communicate to the other therapists what you want. Every time I've been there as well, it's been absolutely freezing! I was told the beds are apparently heated, maybe it's just the large rooms and old building but it's just so, so cold! I suggested they put in heated blankets to lay on top of like their competitors do but who knows whether they'll take note of the feedback.
Other places in Medway seem to all provide the hot towels after treatment to get the oils off but not at Amazing Space, which seems strange given the premium prices they charge.
I'm honestly so disappointed with the fact that out of all massages, only 2 have been really nice and as I've mentioned, both with Jenny.
I was really looking forward to my treatments at Amazing Space but I'm sorry to say this is the end of the line, I'm definitely going elsewhere in future. 🙁 😞
