Lovely place to stay, everything we needed. Fantastic breakfast. Comfortable bed and great nights sleep, clean room, brilliant friendly staff. Well situated for touring around the area and lots of places to eat in the village. Good parking either right at the front or behind the pub.

We stayed for 5 days in the holiday cottage which was beautiful. Well equipped with everything you need for your stay. We also ordered a full breakfast and poached eggs with avocado, excellent produce used and delicious. It was also delivered to our door which was a bonus.
The only thing I would warn you about, is the flooring in the kitchen near the beautiful cooker, is extremely uneven and a big trip/fall hazard.
The cafe/coffee shop (adjoined which delivered/served our breakfast) was also cosy with friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Very spacious rooms that were cosy and clean. The building is nice and the staff were friendly. I had a very pleasant stay at this B&B and enjoyed some very tasty Staffordshire oatcakes for my breakfast. Overall I found this to be a pleasant stay and would recommend this for a short overnight stay.

Friendly staff on arrival. The room was clean, well maintained and nice and quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast provided good portions and was lovely. Unfortunately all this was let down by just how cold the place was. The room was so cold on arrival we lay on the bed in our coats. When we complained, the reason was that it's an old building! The reality is the radiators were stone cold until about 5.30pm (even though checki n is from 3) and they never ever got hot. That is nothing to do with the age of the building. Probably lovely in the summer, but I'm afraid it's not a place to go in winter unless you take your own fan heater

Great local friendly B&B. Rooms were clean and tidy and the staff were great. The stairs up to room 3 and 4 are quite steep and narrow in parts so avoid those rooms if that's a problem for you.

Recommended place to stay.

Booked 4 nights stay from 29/11/23 - 2 in the main house & 2 in the Cottage. Both accommodations were clean, spacious & comfortable & the breakfast was very nice. Unfortunately the bedroom in the main house was cold, due to the radiators not functioning properly & I had to keep my coat on! When I complained, they offered me a portable heater which wasn't effective & I was assured that the Cottage would be warm. However, it was cold when I arrived & the thermostat was only set at 10 degrees! After adjusting the setting, the radiators weren't functioning properly & I rang the hostess who came down with her partner to bleed them. I was told that everything would be OK, but when I returned later in the day, the boiler had packed up & there was no hot water or heating! I rang the hostess again & they came down to fix it, which they did after approx 20 mins working on it. |When I stopped in the B&B for the first 2 nights, I had to use the side entrance & the porch light wasn't working & when leaving the property in the dark, the porch steps were a potential trip hazard.|Throughout my stay, I never had an apology & I've tried contacting the hostess on 3 occasions including a Recorded Delivery letter to discuss the issues with my stay & to date, there's been no response!
