Gemma and Matt at Aperyer are incredible, as are their entire team. They played a huge part in making our wedding day extremely special. Many guests commented on how every element of the food tasted beautiful and was presented impeccably. We simply cannot fault their planning, communication, preparation or (most importantly) sensational food. No detail was too much trouble as they took care of multiple dietary requirements. The process of creating our menu was so much fun. We cannot recommend highly enough.

These guys are absolutely INCREDIBLE - honestly from start to finish they’ve been so so great. The food was truly delicious, the whole menu planning (and tasting!) experience was great and no one left our wedding hungry (in fact the evening food was hardly touched because they’d enjoyed themselves so much in the day time!). All of our guests have said how much they enjoyed the food and how tasty and generous it was. The canapés were sensational and everybody said it was so lovely not to have to chase waiters down to get some! It wasn’t just the food though - Gemma and Matt genuinely love what they do so much and they shared with us all their hints and tips they’ve picked up over years of catering weddings and events which made the world of difference in planning a wedding (when we had no experience of big event planning). They made everything so easy and fun, and we can’t recommend them enough.

What can I say, if you are looking for a caterer, stop looking and book Aperyer (and change your date if they are fully booked). Gemma with her planning, organizing and maître d skills and Matt with his awesome and inventive cooking skills make them a true catering dream team.

We are both foodies and Matt and Gem worked with us to create our perfect wedding menu. They were skilled at asking the right questions so that they could propose a number of options for our wedding menu. They were patient with our numerous questions and changes and helped advise us to ensure each course was perfect and dishes complemented each other.

Along with perfecting the menu Gemma was a wealth of information on how to make the meal and speeches run smoothly, I had no idea about how-to time a wedding breakfast to ensure speeches are listened to. Gem gave so many little tips that made the day run so much more smoothly – this was invaluable. They were always open to ideas for example we wanted to make the desserts for the wedding and they enabled us to do this, providing plates and napkins and not making us feel like this would be an impossible task.

We are based in Australia, therefore we had to organise most details over email, Gem was always responsive and supportive over email. We only had a few days back in the UK when we wanted to organise a tasting. As we had so little time with our family we asked if they could come with us to the food tasting – Gem and Matt made this happen, encouraging us to bring wine and make it an event. It was a special evening and useful to get everyone’s feedback real time!

Our friends love food and a year on we still get compliments. The canapes kept coming and were melt in the mouth delicious, the main course felt almost like fine dining (impressive, especially as we had 160 guests, in a marquee located in a very rainy and windy field!). The meal was high quality, well presented and plentiful. No one went hungry and everyone (even the vegans and GF folk) left feeling well fed and very happy! Not forgetting the kids who were so happy to have their own special meals in cool takeaway boxes.

Finally, on the day Gem, Matt and their team shone. They beautifully laid our tables, timed and delivered food perfectly. Everyone got canapes, all staff were smiley, friendly and knowledgeable about the food. These little details make the whole operation feel professional, smooth yet laid back and friendly.

Matt and Gem, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We just wish we could do it all again.

Where to begin! Gemma and Matt are simply fantastic. They provided the food for our wedding recently (after many, many changes to the plan and rescheduling due to the pandemic!) and were absolutely incredible. They supported us throughout the whole process, and the food was some of the best we've eaten. Every person at our wedding told us how much they enjoyed it. I wish we could get married every week simply to enjoy that meal again! A huge thank you to them both!

I can't even begin to emphasise how amazing Gemma and Matt were when planning and providing the catering for our wedding. From start to finish they were so lovely and helpful and we've had so many compliments from our guests on the incredible food. All our guests with dietary requirements were so impressed with how brilliant Aperyer were in catering for them as well (earning us the award of 'Best Wedding Food Ever' from quite a few people!).
We loved working with Aperyer and it was so exciting seeing our wedding menu come together with some of our favourite food. The experience was brilliant, right from pre wedding tasting and sampling the food, to organisation and the day itself.
The pies were exceptional, the best we ever had and guests all wish they had a shop to go buy more! The toppings bar was fab!
Desserts were also exceptional and evening food hit the spot!
We’d recommend Aperyer to everyone, Gemma and Matt and their amazing food really made our day so special.
