We came to stay for a couple of days here but the photos were not the same as the park.|The park looks like it hasn't been touched since 2005, the lodges are all tatty and haven't had a piece of TLC for years. We went to stay in lodge 2. Opened the door to loads of flies inside, rust on the radiators, mould in the corners of the room, steins on the floors, a very used and tatty coffee table, the bush the front was so overgrown you couldn't see a thing, hot tub was dirty with bits inside. There's no wifi or phone service either with nothing on site nor nothing local so you're staring at a bush, literally! £470 for two nights and we didn't even stay one. We left after 45 mins and went down the road to filey bay, immaculate and stunning.|We asked to a refund or at least half as we felt we were conned, the photos are so different to the actual place. We got nothing. Apparently they'd counted the flies, there was 3?! Excuses just for the poor standards they have. Fair enough, no wifi was advertised however for nearly £500 why isn't there any? The bush was trimmed 2 months ago they said also but wasn't blocking our view. We couldn't see out the front windows. Lastly, advertised as a lodge, it's a caravan..|They said should we wish to return in the future, rather not thank you.|If you want to be disappointed and scammed out of your hard earned cash, stay here!

The Black Bull Staycation retreat is set in a perfect location to explore the local coastline. Situated a 10 minute walk from Barmston beach, ideal for families and dog loving people. The site has been recently refurbished and the cabins, although on the smaller side are perfect for a base to explore. The local beach is dog friendly and we enjoyed a walk towards Bridlington (although it’s a 12 mile round trip). Hornsea, Filey, Scarborough and Whitby are all within an hours drive. The locals were friendly and offered points about where to visit. The site was not too large and other guests were very respectful. The local pub was not open which was a slight disappointment as this would have been ideal for an evening meal one day. I would recommend the fish and chip shop in Flamborough (Lighthouse Fisharies) as one of the best I’ve had. This includes one we have visited as been the best in the Uk, based in Scotland. Overall a great weekend away and some well deserved family time.

Note we had been relocated from Applegrove to The Black Bull.

Lovely, relaxing break. Had a 2 night stay with my husband in the Sky Lux 22 lodge with hot tub and sauna, and couldn't fault it at all. |Received a text message early afternoon with the entry details and clear instructions in the drawer under the TV for everything else. The hot tub was lovely, as we were sitting in it on an evening an owl paid a visit to the trees behind. Very relaxing and clean, sauna was also great although had a broken light so we only used it during the day, which wasn't an issue for us.|The entire lodge was very clean and great for our needs. From other reviews it's clear the new owner has taken on board feedback and has made improvements, and we can't wait to return.

Amazing few nights away with the family. Lovely lodges, very quiet and the hot tub was amazing!

No WiFi and limited signal so can switch off from the world!!

If taking children there is a park not far at the village hall which is really good.

Not far from Scarborough at all. Lovely get away.

Easy entry and lock box key

I would definitely stay again!

This is our second visit to Applegrove country park. Absolutely love it. Weather was fortunately good for us in March and May. The hot tubs are wonderful and relaxing and most importantly clean. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. The site is quiet which we love as a bit of peace in a crazy world at the moment. The cabins are gorgeous. Beds are comfy. I'm booking again. It will most probably be a regular visit now. The park manager Mark is a fantastic guy.

Had a fantastic stay at Little Eden, communication with the site manager was very quick and resolved straight away excellent service, site was very clean.

If I could suggest a couple of things for the lodge new blind string needs putting on all the blinds as couldn’t open and close if you was a small person.

Towel hanger was at the back of the hot tub needs moving to the front.and maybe a couple of small corner shelf’s to put your phone on to listen to music. Otherwise had a lovely stay thank you we will book again

Harrington lux 1 - I’ll start with the good points. We was super excited to stay here with the photos being immaculate. Hot tub was amazing, clean outdoor area. Beautiful views and sunsets. Beds are comfy and the showers was clean. But on arrival the lodge was covered in flys, the front door was left wide open when we arrived (not the owners fault) but we ended up leaving a day early as it was unbearable we must of had about 60 flys in there. We couldn’t eat our dinner without 10 flys flying around our head. There was a smell of dog urine in the kitchen area but we cleaned the floor ourselves and sorted the problem. The blinds are dirty could do with a clean as previous guests must of put some sauce on them. There was a lot of cobwebs and spiders which I feel shouldn’t be there if there was a hoover in the lodge we would have cleaned them ourselves. The sofa is in bits the cushion was popping out and it was all split and because it’s a sofa bed you end up having to move the cushion multiple times as it keeps falling through the bottom not comfortable at all. If 4 adults was to go here 2 of you would be on rocking chairs which isn’t comfortable if you was watching a film etc. a bigger sofa I think is needed to accommodate for a family.
