What an amazing place to stay. We have stayed many times over the years since our last B&B closed in Barton Mills.|It has been a lovely experience getting to know Sian the owner, her son Harry and the unforgettable dog Ruby.|Sian makes you feel so special. We have stayed in the three different rooms she has to let.|We love the Studio if it’s free, it’s a seperate annex and totally yours. The other rooms are on the other side of the main house. There is a small double upstairs, the room is low in places so not ideal for us as hubby is over 6ft. The other room is downstairs and it’s a big family room with a sofa bed and king bed.|With both those rooms you share a kitchen.

I booked a room through booking.com for my sister and her husband who has dementia. 10 days before their stay the owner contacted me to say my card wouldn’t work and could I please pay cash. I was confused as the booking was pay on arrival and also there was no problem with my card. I went I the property and paid cash and got a receipt. She told me she was going in holiday and her son would be looking after the booking. She then asked me to cancel my booking through booking.com and thus I did as she told me it would save her fees . When my sister arrived in the day after travelling 4hrs she had to wait 40 minutes for someone to arrive and to be told that they had let her apartment as the booking had been cancelled. My sister was so upset that’s she was going to drive straight home and miss her father’s 90th birthday celebration. The son of the owner then took them to a hotel and paid for the room reluctantly to start with. This was not what my sister wanted due to her husbands condition.they required a private apartment away from people and stairs. I have since asked for a refund as myself and my sister were told by the son that due to the mess up there would be one, to now being told nothing like that was ever said. |They have offered a new booking at a discounted rate . Never is this going to happen. |I paid the money for my sister and her husband to stay at that property not a hotel. And I have been told that it was done as a gesture of good will. It wasn’t a gesture of good will it was my money that I had paid in the first place I would never recommend this place to anyone as their attitudes are not very welcoming plus they do not honour their word

The studio was lovely and spotlessly clean and ideal for our needs.||Bed really comfortable as were pillows and duvet.||It would have been nice if there was a couple of chairs and a table outside the french doors so we could have had our morning coffee. It would also have been nice if there was a defined area on the patio.||The path from the garage to the door had not been swept so we were treading in grim and dirt from the path, we couldn't understand why half the path had been cleaned.||We have recommended the studio to our friends who live close by.||Than you Chris and Barry

The owner is such a nice person. She was very accommodating. The room was set up very nicely, and a great common area available to you. She even let me leave my vehicle there over the weekend while i wasn't staying there.

We stayed in the studio that sleeps 4 people, lovely and spacious and very clean. Owners extremely helpful. Ideal location for attending any events at Newmarket races or nearby. Highly recommend.

Fabulous and amazing hosts.|This was our fourth visit here and each time the experience has been the same. Sian & her son Harry go above and beyond to make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them.|This time we stayed in the lovely spacious and super clean studio, we have stayed in the family room before which is a lovely spacious room, but we do enjoy the studio.|Comfy bed, large bathroom and shower, cooking facilities, it really does feel like home from home, plus the bonus is meeting the fabulous super friendly spaniel Ruby, which we just adored and she certainly adds joy to our visits.|We will certainly be back.

I had a fantastic time here in June. The family who run the house and cottages do a marvellous job and I felt like I 'lived' there [rather than just 'staying' there]. I had my own room with a separate, large, bathroom just across the hallway. My best friend was Ruby - a Cocker-Spaniel - who is probably the most excited, friendly dog you could ever meet. I will be back!
