Exceptionally good restaurant. It’s pub style, where you find your table and order at the bar. But what makes this place so special is that it has a fantastic menu and they clearly really care about their food. There are lots of specials and portions are large and delicious. I have come here once or twice a year for the last decade and I really don’t know anywhere else like it around the UK. ||Oh yes, and they have a big and very traditional desert menu as well. ||Staff all friendly and helpful. ||Highly recommended. I hope they keep doing this for many more years.

I visited Appley Manor resteraunt with my mum and dad. We have varied palates, meat eater, pescatarian and I am a vegan. My mum and dad don't have huge appities, so ordered off the small bites menu. I ordered off their vegan menu. They also have a GF and regular menu. Things to suit everyone. All three meals were really enjoyed. Served by a fantastic & jolly staff team. I ordered the vegan salad and can honestly say it was a treat for the eyes and palate. Left me feeling very full and satisfied. It was also a very good price for what we got. Well done all. Highly recomend a visit.

We visited twice during our fortnight stay and on both occasions it was great. The fisherman's friend salad came recommended by our friends and didn't disappoint, it was excellent. The pavlova dessert was a little disappointing, it didn't seem to be as fresh as I would have preferred, the meringue just had that slightly rubbery consistency The layout is spacious, so easy for wheelchair users.

Our afternoon meal, we arrived at 4.45pm we chose table 18 just across from the bar, the boys wanted ice cream so one has chocolate and one has vanilla which they both said was yummy. We ordered hot dogs, with onions, chips, salad and coleslaw. Has always the food was simply sublime perfection. Always feel welcomed the staff are happy, helpful and very quick thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Didn't stay in the hotel room only gone for the food.

The bar was nice, but the problem was that the woman was on her own. When she did get help, the male walked past me to serving other customers when I was still waiting and was annoyed about it.

Our family group of six - including two young children and two grandparents - really enjoyed our evening meal at Appley Manor. Good, unfussy, well-prepared food served by friendly staff in an atmosphere best described as quietly cheery. The puddings are especially eye-catching, which made our four-year-old and nine-year-old especially happy. Worth looking at the specials board. Overall, a good, gently pleasant experience. Would come again.

Restaurant has very extensive menu to suit everyone, catering for plain/wholesome to more complex tastes. The staff are most helpful and friendly. Very clean and tidy everywhere. Traditional decor provides homely atmosphere, with ample car parking close at hand.

Thank you, all at Appley, for another enjoyable stay. Staff are always helpful and friendly, and on hand to deal with problems such as a faulty fob or arriving, as a resident, just too late for food! And breakfast watching the red squirrels is a bonus!
