Beautiful location, surrounded by countryside. The house itself was very cosy and family like. There is a lounge, conservatory and garden area available.|Our room was large, comfortable bed with en-suite (mixer shower tap on a large bath).|We only stayed one night and did convenient 10min drive into Bath to meet family.|The cottage has parking round the back.|Best suited to outgoing guests as the lovely cooked breakfast is served at the dining table which is shared with other guests!

We were fortunate enough to stay here one night on a trip to Wales and England. It's in a rural setting, at the bend of a narrow country road. Google Maps gets you there. There is adequate parking along the side and in back of the guest house.||We were given a room upstairs that was enormous and adorable. It featured a huge bathroom, a dressing area / closet, and a separate room for sleeping. The bed linens were clean and in great condition, and the bed was comfortable. There was no shower in our room, so if you prefer not to sit in a bathtub to wash, you'll have to wait. In the closet / dressing area, the entrance to the attic was wide open; there was no door or piece of wood to close it. This was very strange and it drew attention to the cobwebs along the ceiling. At one point, one of us dropped a small item on the floor, and as we searched for it on the carpet, we realized that the carpet had not been thoroughly vacuumed in quite some time. There was noticeable dust on the small dresser in the room. We were not bothered by this, but it indicates a lack of attention to cleanliness.||Breakfast the following morning was delicious, with a good selection of options, and the coffee was great too. You will eat well here. The table settings and linens were spotless and in fine condition. The grounds are meticulously maintained and exactly what "English country garden" implies. ||Although it feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, there is a fine pub/restaurant closely for meals, and Bath is a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again.||

We enjoyed our one night stay here .. it is a bit hard to find in a very peaceful location .. we almost drove past it as there was a lot of overgrown weeds and grass around the entry point. || Host was great and we only saw the host at breakfast where she was very handy with some local knowledge. Breakfast was made exactly how we like it also.||The building itself is several hundred years old and has been furnished and decorated accordingly with modern touches. It seems all rooms are on an upper floor which are accessed by stairs. There is no standing shower here. The room was very comfortable and peaceful, so it was possible to have a good nights sleep. Plenty of free parking at the front also.

Stayed for one night and it was lovely, welcome was very nice and friendly. The room was amazing and we loved the decor and the beams are so authentic for a countryside cottage. This was our first b&b experience and we would not hesitate to come back. ||Breakfast was brilliant, cooked food, juice, fresh jam, cereal and lots of choices.||Highly recommended ?

We stayed for one night and the cottage was lovely, in a quiet, peaceful location. Steve was really welcoming and the breakfast was delicious ? it’s really close to Bradford and looks like there’s walking trails right next door which we would have taken advantage of if the weather was better.

The most amazing, peaceful stay at 189 April Cottage. The owner is so hospitable and friendly and greeted us with such a warm welcome on arrival. We were lucky to be the only guests (lucky for us but did make us sad that it wasn’t fully booked) but it meant we had free reign of the cottage so we lit a fire and chilled in the main room in the evening. The bed was comfy and it was so quiet all night! Breakfast was lovely and gave us the opportunity to get some recommendations for the rest of our trip. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We stayed here for just the 1 night but will definitely be returning-we could have easily stayed longer had our plans allowed for this. The house itself is an amazing property rich in history and both interesting and comfortable. Its in a secluded location yet in easy reach of all local amenities.||||Steve is a fantastic host who made us feel welcome even prior to our arrival.||||Breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection.||||All in all a fantastic stay.
