Wonderfully quirky hunting lodge with many stuffed animals on display. Breakfast was ok, but we (and every other guest) burnt the toast in the self-service toaster. ||Room was comfortable but with a view over the kennels. ||HOWEVER THERE WAS NO TEA MAKING FACILITIES IN THE ROOM and we had to go to the chippy to get a cuppa after a very long journey. For £100 plus a night we expected a kettle. ||Also no locks on the bedroom doors.

We had a lovely stay at Kingussie thanks to Valerie. She's a super host! Breakfast is definitely a must, either the cold or the hot one. The rooms are quite big and have nice views. And the town even though it doesn't have a lot of services it has the basic ones and is near of many good hikes and other interesting villages.

Fabulous B&B Spotlessly clean.
The bedroom was great with a very comfortable king sized bed. Shower room ensuite was very welcome. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. The host was welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend

Kathy and I booked in to Ardselma for 1 night in mid-April and loved it.
Valerie is welcoming, friendly and so helpful.
Our room was cosy and spotless with plenty space and lively view over Kingussie.
We had a peaceful, comfortable night before setting off north for Orkney.
We opted for a continental breakfast, which had so much choice.

Old hunting lodge that looks like a movie set! Stuffed animal heads, creaky floors and woodsy location. Very fun. Staff was super nice and their dogs are super cute. (We are definitely looking to get a cocker spaniel like the ones here!). A great base for exploring all the cool hikes and sites in the area.|We met some very friendly hunters who loved talking about their hobby. Would definitely recommend.

I have stayed at this friendly, charming and very welcoming B&B several times before.||It is a traditional stone built house situated in the village of Kingussie, perfectly situated in the very heart of the Highlands. Originally a Victoriana hunting lodge. It is now run by Valerie and Graham it's 7 guest rooms offer double, twin and single rooms.||B&B and evening meals are available.||If you are touring the area and are looking for a 'base' I strongly recommend Ardselma. The standard of accommodation is excellent as is the food both matched by the warm welcome provided by the hosts.

A slightly challenging place to review in so far as it would undoubtedly be very appealing to some and perhaps not so much to others. It’s an old hunting lodge located a few minutes’ walk away from Kingussie and set in quiet, leafy grounds. It has a real “country” feel to it and there’s lots of mounted hunting trophies and suchlike. The lounge is very comfy, sporting a log fire and recliners and Valerie was a helpful and affable host. Not all the rooms have an en suite and some of the furniture and pillows had seen better days but the rooms were clean and functional. It’s an earthy sort of place which creaks and squeaks in parts so if you’re looking for shiny and flawless then it’s likely not for you. Breakfast was fine and covered the usual bases and it’s a very dog friendly environment. Our party was split in terms of desire to return.

We stayed for two nights and Valerie was a wonderful host! One morning I did not have time for breakfast, so she had out yogurt to take on the go. Our room was huge and spacious. It was super comfy and our view out the window was stunning. Our room had an en suite and the bed was comfy.
