When we arrived we were greeted by a very pleasant lady who confirmed our reservation, and proceeded to show us around the house. |It’s a very special family home, now a Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although just 8 people were dining the night we were there it retained a lovely atmosphere and the food was superb. I can highly recommend the Ardtara Gin! Very comfortable nights sleep. We hope to go again when we’ve saved up!

Beautiful atmosphere, food, and service. We will be back. Sean is a great host. We enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast. We relaxed in the reception rooms before dinner too. A very comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom. The fire in the room was gorgeous, and a fantastic coffee machine.

We arrived soaking wet after a downpour on Portrush beach and a warm welcome with a fire in the hall was just what we needed. We were told a fire was lit in our room and that we had been upgraded too! The room was perfect!!! We enjoyed a delicious evening meal which had wine paired with it. We slept soundly that night. Breakfast was fantastic too. Leanne who looked after us was a delight. It was lovely to meet Sean the hotel manager too. We hope to visit again soon when we return to Ireland.

From the moment you enter Ardtara house you relax. The beautiful entrance the welcoming lit fire, the warm welcome from staff- your mind just switches off. All the rooms were so inviting. Our room with the view of the garden and the lit open fire both our immediate reaction was we should have booked 2 nights! This is definitely the most relaxing stay we have ever. The food was outstanding both at dinner and breakfast but their staff were outstanding each and every one, friendly and on hand for everything. You need to experience it. We will definitely be back.

Sean and his staff made us very welcome, and the service throughout was excellent. Dinner was included with our stay and was fantastic and beautifully presented, breakfast was also really great. Our room and bed was very clean, warm and comfortable, and my wife especially enjoyed being able to have a bath, something that is not always available in hotels. We were lucky with the weather and this is an area of Northern Ireland we are not familiar with, but so worth a visit!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our short break for 2 nights at ArdtaraCountry House. |We very much enjoyed the ambience and style of the hotel and the fact it had not been modernised and the character and heritage retained. We also very much appreciated the grounds and woodland.|We don't live that far away and considered the location ideal for visiting the NI North Coast and Donegal which we did|We had 2 dinners and must state that they were both excellent. Choice,qualityand ambience|Staff were warm and friendly and especially Leona who welcomed and served us

Absolutely fantastic experience for a birthday treat. my wife and i stayed for a one night break and indulged in the tasting menu, which was absolutely superb. The staff were exceptional and made our stay feel like a home away from home, nothing was too much trouble. We look forward to a return visit at some point this year!
