Nice apartment and felt unique and lots of character. Squeaky wooden floorboards and doors throughout add something. Rooms were a little cold although electric radiators did the job

Argyll Mansions was very well located, in the centre of Oban, close to restaurants and pubs and represented very good value for money. The apartment was clean and well appointed. A bonus was great views of the harbour from the front windows (and McCaig’s Tower from the rear).
My only significant comments are that the living room would benefit from a couple more easy chairs for groups of six, whilst an ice box in the fridge would have been appreciated.

I stayed in Argyll Mansions this summer with my wife and young child and could not suggest a better location or a more comfortable place to stay. All the decor was tastefully selected and all our needs catered for - from dishwasher, coffee machine to generous welcome gifts. My wife loved finding all the little surprises dotted around the place and my little one loved the ship themed bunk room. Then there was the sunset from the balcony...definitely a must stay!

We loved staying here and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else on our return visits. The pictures don't do it justice, the apartment is so lovely with lots of personal touches, like pictures of 'old' Victorian Oban. It's also spacious, but still really cosy like home, just wish the views were this good back home too!

It's a brilliant place in a great location, and you wouldn't regret staying there.

We're looking forward to staying again next year.

Great apartment looking out over harbour to Kerrera and Mull

We came up to Oban by train for a car free holiday. The apartment is well furnished and immaculately kept. The main bedroom overlooks the harbour as does the dining and sitting rooms. Our daughters quickly sorted out occupancy of the other rooms, the youngest loved the bunk beds. We whiled away many hours sitting at the windows watching the harbour activities.

The short crossing to Mull is breathtaking as there's 360 degrees of hills and mountains to look at. Kerrera has good walks in very open countryside (good boots recommended though)

We hired bikes from Nevis Cycles and went "off road" to Connel - Good value hire and great advice from the shop.

Our girls (10 and 12) did an introduction Kayaking session from the Kayaking and activity centre just round the corner from Argyll mansions - great experience.

The Oban distillery tour is interesting and the malt whisky recommended.

Food and beer at Cuan Mor is highly recommended - excellent vegetarian Nut roast

Great serviced apartment...central location with wonderful views of the sea...restaurants all within walking distance, Oban ferry services are a few minutes walk away and the apartment itself was spacious and clean....a home away from home. Don’t hesitate, just book it! You won’t be disappointed.

Stayed here in September with my sister. The apartment is fantastic and so well equipped with everything you will ever need for cooking a three course meal or just warming up a snack! It is very well kept with fantastic views out over the bay to Kerrera. You couldn't get any nearer to the action, just down the stairs and into the very centre of Oban. Free car parking just a 5/10 minute walk away but you probably won't have any problem unloading your things in the street round the corner as we did then parking up for the week near Tesco. Owner very helpful with details of how to get in, where to park & contact telephone numbers if needed. Thoroughly recommended.

I have recently returned from a visit to this extremely comfortable and spacious apartment in Oban, which I cannot recommend highly enough. From the initial contact everything ran smoothly – the booking arrangements all done by email, with key pick up, directions, and entry to property all explained in a clear and concise manner. This accommodation is, without a doubt, unsurpassed in location with the bus stance and train station less than five minutes walk away, ferry less than 10 minutes, with the added bonus of stunning panoramic views from the flat itself.
Free secure parking is available an easy 10-15 mins walk from the flat, but certainly around town a car is unnecessary, due to the central location of the property. Bars, restaurants and shops abound, all within a stone’s throw of Argyll Mansions. The apartment is on the second floor and easily accessed by a broad shallow and spotlessly clean stairway.
The flat is within a large Victorian building and the furniture and furnishings therein reflect this era in a very tasteful, but practical manner. A considerable amount of thought has gone into the designing of the whole fabric of the place giving it an “at home” feel which is often hard to reproduce, and on arrival we instantly felt it had a cosy and comfortable ambience. A beautiful vase of fresh flowers welcomed us into the large lounge while plants dotted here and there added to the relaxed atmosphere. The photos on the website show just exactly how good the flat actually looks, but the simply stunning views of Oban Bay, the huge expanse of sky, the ferries coming and going, the hustle and bustle of this busy seaside town and whole magical mood of the place, can only be captured by being there!
Breakfast, lunch or dinner can be enjoyed at window tables, either in the lounge or in the bedroom with the wee bay window or just nip out onto the balcony! In the evening we chose the Scottish themed dining room, complete with the best crystal and silver, as all fine dining should be! Each room has been carefully and individually assembled, thereby producing a unique and very interesting home. I especially loved the old photos in the lounge and of course “The Cabin” with bunk beds and very nautical flavour!
The kitchen is large and very well equipped with every necessary utensil, along with loads of crockery, cutlery and glassware. A lovely touch was the milk in the fridge when we arrived – not to mention all the other varied exciting complimentary surprises scattered around the place!
So, in conclusion this flat in Argyll Mansions is of the highest standard, spotlessly clean, well stocked and beautifully presented, well suited to couples, families and groups. It couldn’t be in a more central position either for shopping, eating or sightseeing locally, for exploring further in Argyll, by wheel or foot or even better, for jumping on a ferry to explore the enchanting Outer and Inner Hebrides!
Book it now, before everyone hears about it!! You’ll love it!!
