What a fantastic place run by a young couple who are always on hand to offer great hospitality. ||The place is clean and cosy. Breakfast is always freshly made and serve according to your desire. It's very close to the town as well as other amenities. An ideal place to stay for few days if you are here to explore The Beautiful Lake District. They made fresh breakfast every morning for us and also offered us freshly made lunch if we wanted for our hike. ||We will definitely stay in this place next time we in Carlisle

Our second time staying at Arkale Lodge and again a lovely time was had by my wife and me. We stayed for three nights. The room was perfect, lovely and clean. The breakfast brilliant. The welcome, care and wanting our stay to be all it could be was again fantastic. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again in the Autumn.

We went there with our family to spend the bank holiday, and we couldn’t have asked for more. This is a family-run hotel with outstanding hospitality. The rooms are clean, and the breakfast is freshly cooked—simply perfect.||Ishwar, Sabita, and another lovely lady were always smiling and happy to help. They made our stay incredibly comfortable and memorable.

A great place to spend a few nights. Charming hosts who are always ready to help. Excellent breakfasts, clean rooms. Just a stone's throw from the city center. In short, just perfect if you want to stay in Carlisle for a few days or more.......

We felt very fortunate to find Arkale Lodge by chance, after rejecting the accommodation we had booked nearby.
Rooms were clean and well-appointed, breakfast was good food, well-cooked and generous portions.

I stay here each week as I work in the local area. Rooms are always spotlessly clean and perfectly fine for a pleasant stay. Breakfast is lovely and nothing is too much trouble for the owner, Ishwar. I have recommended to many colleagues who are equally as happy with the accommodation. Very reasonable prices and I would recommend to anyone staying in Carlisle either for business or leisure.

Room compact but functional and clean, which is just what you need.

Toiletries, towels all provided as well as tea and coffee.

Close to city centre (10 minutes walk) and on the main road in, but even with the window wide open I slept really well.

Best part of the stay - the service from the host, Ishwar, was outstanding - always friendly and greeted with a smile
