A wonderfully relaxed day learning how to make the most delicious Mediterranean breads. Coffee and homemade cookies followed by excellent tuition with lunch in between, all in delightful surroundings. Thank you Les and Louise for making it such an enjoyable day.

We had our perfect wedding here. Firstly, Les and Louise are the most dedicated lovely people. Our day at the bakehouse was perfect and stress free. All our guests commented on what a great venue and how professional the staff were. We even jumped in the pool at the end of the day! Thank you both for our wedding and the various pizza evenings and cookery classes we have been too over the years.

The Milkhouse is a wonderful cottage to stay in. A perfect rural and quiet location with a lovely garden and woodland setting. We had everything we needed for a warm and cosy stay. The conservatory was great to host a family gathering and the garden was excellent for an Easter Egg Hunt. Our friendly Hosts were brilliant with great communication and useful advice. They provided some lovely bakehouse treats for our stay and baked a superb birthday cake which was very much enjoyed by all. We would recommend a stay here at any time of the year.

Had a lovely weekend stay in The Milkhouse.
It’s a charming period cottage with character including low ceilings, beams and doors with latches. Very child friendly as there was a high chair, travel cot and even a baby swing and swing for bigger children hanging from the tree outside. Freshly baked bread supplied on arrival along with some other goodies. Beautiful location in the green Sussex countryside and a wonderful historic pub - The Fountain - nearby that serves good food and has a lovely beer garden. Highly recommend for a relaxing break in the countryside!

We were welcomed with delicious coffee and biscuits. Lunch was home made quiche and salad with a choice of dessert and drinks. Les was patient and very knowledgable about all things bread. I cant believe how much I learned and have already booked for the Christmas baking course,

My husband, myself and our two little ones (2.5 years and 3 months) had the best time in the Milkhouse. It was gorgeous, had a huge selection of toys, and a lovely little garden. Les & Louise are doing a fantastic job and we hope to make this a place we return to year after year. Thank you!!

I stayed in the Shepherds Hut for 3 nights for visiting Knepp, Arundel and West Wittering. Very comfortable and cosy, beautifully decorated. Birdsong galore. Amazing treats from bakery to greet me - warm crusty bread, cookies,granola,fruit, milk,butter,eggs etc. Great eateries just a few mins drive in all directions.|Just watch your shins when getting into the bed - super comfy otherwise.

Went on a day course of bread making, and had an incredible day, learning so much, and making our own bread, under expert tutelage. The course runs at a gentle pace, and we went home enthused (clutching our 4 different breads we'd made) about not buying supermarket bread again. Made welcome from the moment we set foot inside (50 minutes early, by mistake) coffee and home-made biscuits, and the food we were served was wonderful, both at the coffee break, and for lunch. Definitely going back for more courses here. It's set in an idyllic position in woodland, and the rooms are laid out so well. We had a lot of laughs and it was beyond expectation. 6 stars!!
