Situated in a very pleasant area of Blagdon, within walking distance from the Mendip Centre (Yeo Valley), this little B&B is very welcoming, cozy, clean. The companionable hosts welcoming us - at quite a late hour, 10pm - were nice from the very beginning, providing us with a great service, for a reasonable price. It's also worth mentioning their pre-booking service, the landlady providing me with a taxi number and useful tips to get to their house, as we were coming from Birmingham and had no clue how to get to Blagdon. I was googling for accommodation in the area, as my partner had an interview in Blagdon, and I liked the pictures, as well as its proximity to where the interview was to be held. Following a telephone conversation with the landlady I received clear-cut and honest information about what they offered, and at what price. The owners, as well as the quality of the accommodation, the nice and organic breakast were all in line with my initial feeling. No hard feeling, I would go back today if I could. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Our bedroom had a lovely bed with a divine matress, so the sleep we took was great, too. Really nice views. Rooms are equipped with everything we needed, from shoe polish to hairdryer, electric kettle, teas, coffees, cookies, TV etc. Size is a bit small but definitely sufficient for a couple stopping over for only a night. ||The couple were friendly, chatty, but not disturbingly talkative, funny, very approachable.. in a nutshell, we spent quality time at Ashcroft, I would recommend it for everyone seeking a quality, warm, nice B&B in the area.
