I was visiting family in Huddersfield for a weekend, unfortunately other family members were staying in the spare room so me and my husband had to quickly book a cheap hotel. It was a complete letdown. The room was outdated and the furniture was uncomfortable. The bathroom had a persistent smell. The hotel was also very noisy, and I couldn’t get a good night’s sleep because of the constant noise from outside and the thin walls. No staff to help either.|Only bright side of this trip was seeing my family and enjoying a lovely meal at Lala's

Absolutely the worst place I've stayed. Dirty, cramped and in disrepair. ||Booked 'Deluxe Double' - anything but, didn't get the room we booked. Don't believe the photos on the website, the inside photos are not the same hotel! ||Bathroom filthy. Room grubby and dated. ||Didn't dare use the kettle, fridge or microwave. ||Bed in the room we booked was meant to be accessible from both sides but in the shoddy room we got it was crammed into a corner so we disturbed each other in the night. ||No staff on site, couldn't resolve and they refused to refund when we complained. ||Avoid like the plague

The hotel has obviously been refurbished and I was very pleased with my small but comfortable room. My friends had a large double room with a spacious bathroom. A little strange not meeting a receptionist but gained entry very quickly and the key safe system was efficient. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Read all the reviews before you book. ||Beautiful building with well maintained garden.||No staff on site. Complicated system of safes and many phone calls to get a code to work. Sent to a dingy dark room on second floor (108), outdated furnishings, stale smell. Five minutes later another phone call, sent to ground floor "garden room" "the best room". Would have been a reception room in the original house. Huge french windows (metal frames, single glazed), vertical blinds, 1980s heavy curtains and pelmet, draw cord not functional. Mismatched furnishings: coffee table with ugly plastic cover, single upholstered chair, two office style fake leather chairs, desk, two single beds pushed together, ugly alcove shelving with microwave, kettle toaster. Mismatched cups. Two wine glasses. Small fridge. No bottled water. No snacks. Tea and coffee, unwrapped tea bags, we did not use as wondered how fresh these were. |Trailing electrical wires and extension cables in the eoom. One pat test sticker seen from 2018. Lumpy mattress. |En suite shower room recently renewed with plastic wall cladding, shower, loo, basin. Toiletries provided. One bath and one hand towel, for two people. ||Room clean, linens clean. Pervading smell of scent products.

Stay away. They called us 11 times prior to our arrival to ask for the same info which we had already given then asked agin when we arrived. Had we arrived in the day the likely hood is that we would have left and booked the travel lodge down the road. We were given what is described as a luxury double which is a joke if you take a look at the attached pictures. Stained towels stained pillow, damaged bed base, worn mattress with no protector on it. Wardrobe with no backing and open to the damp crumbling wall behind. Wallpaper peeling off the walls. Shower was ok shame the cubical was a bit mouldy. There was milk in the kettle so we decided not to use that. I am disgusted that this is still open. I won’t be returning and will also be flagging this place up with booking .com too.

I arrived here in desperation in regards to needing a hotel room for the night hoping it’d at least be an acceptable experience. for a starter my reception was a ring door bell and a old fashion telephone sat beside it, upon finally emailing them pictures of my ID I got into a room that looked absolutely nothing compared to the pictures, the signal was dreadful so I could barely even accept a phone call and there was a horrible smell entering the room from some where. There was milk left on the side in the warm room so it’d be off and the door locks felt as flimsy as an A4 piece of paper. We ended up leaving within 15 minutes of being in the room and I asked for a refund and they just hung up on me. Poor customer service, poor rooms would’ve rather have slept in the back seat of my car

As a short-term stay the hotel sufficed. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was simple to use and refreshing. No breakfast included, but you have a smallnkitchen which includes a microwave and fridge. The only complaint I have is that the batteries in the TV remote needed replacing. The hotel has some very nice touched, including art decor pieces.

The room is spacious with a nice flat screen TV. There was no fan but the room was cool enough. There was left over can and biscuits wrap behind the bed and lamp table.
Need a bit of cleaning as there was cobweb and spider.
Above all the positive side we were called just to know if we were still coming as it was getting to late and we were eventually welcomed by the manager who gave us the room keys and warmth welcome. The location is perfect not far from the city center.
