A loverly campsite bus stops near by for York and other nice town worth visiting.
if you feel adventurous try gliding at the wolds gliding club only a bus ride from the campsite. All the staff are very helpful especially Vicki .
The electric is metterd which
Saved us over ten pound for three night there is a local sports club if you want to go and enjoy a drink.
Look forward to visiting the site again soon

Fantastic friendly couple Jenny and Rob who run the campsite nothing too much trouble for them they are so welcoming. We find this is the perfect campsite to visit York and Beverley buses are every half an hour and the bus stop is a short walk from the Campsite. The campsite is very tidy and well kept and the showers are immaculate, all in all we see you again soon.

Excellent campsite and great value. Facilities are immaculately clean. Site well set out and accessible. Everyone was so helpful at all times. Highly recommend for a short stay or a longer visit to take in the sights of York and the surrounding area.

A great campsite that we returned to after our first visit last year. It is a short walk from family we visit, so it’s very convenient. Staying in our motorhome, we once again found the campsite to be clean, tidy & welcoming. And the staff are friendly & helpful. We will be returning!

Exceptionally clean site, owner and staff very friendly and helpful, location to bus routes 200 yards walk and park and ride 1 mile away. York 2 miles away and amazing food at Shambles Market.Quick and easy bus trip. We will certainly be back. Enjoyed our stay and met many friendly "Yorkies". Thank you. The Camerons

Lovely quite and clean site. We came for the Christmas market. Regular bus services to York a few minutes walk from the site. Facilities very clean and warm. Small shop and recreation room, good for those camping in groups to meet up or for those camping in tents. Also nice outdoor BBQ area for the summer. Owners could not have been more helpful with information about local pubs for Sunday lunch ( can highly recommend Half Moon Inn) and especially when it snowed and water pipes froze. Would highly recommend to groups, couples and families.

My Family and I have been coming to Ashfield since 2016 (my kids were aged 10, 8 and 6 at the first time) and we have just come back from our 6th visit (for our final ever camping trip with the kids) over the Aug bank holiday weekend.|We fell in love with this site from the first time we came. Very welcoming, family & dog friendly. Great wardens. Very clean and tidy campsite, the toilets are immaculate. great amenities. Great little park and table tennis etc for the kids. Its nice and quiet (although the main rd can be a bit noisy on a night). ||Its close to York park and ride and you have a big retail park, leisure spots and supermarkets within 15 min drive. You have the Enfield air museum practically across the road. Murton park (a great family day out) is 5 mins away. |The village of Dunnington is lovely and picturesque, very clean and tidy, its a nice walk down from the campsite. At the end of the long road there's a huge kids park with big climbing frames etc. Also local shops, butchers, pub down the road (the pub is very expensive) and you can get local takeaway delivered to the campsite. It has everything you need for a relaxing camping trip and perfect for us being only 40mins away from home. We have stayed for 1 night, full weekends and even 8 night stays during summer hols. We loved it each time!|I will always recommend the site and I hope to return in the future when I've purchased a caravan! Thank you.
