Having read recent reviews on trip advisor of this property, we were pleasantly surprised and had a very positive experience at our stay there. Excellent value, with the added bonus of breakfast for the price we paid. No tea and coffee in the room, but the dining room facility enabled us to make hot drinks when needed. The room was clean, with a private good sized shower room. Communication was prompt, as soon as we booked, confirmation with detailed instructions on check-in was sent within minutes. The room was equipped with a fridge and wi fi password was easily accessible. The property was directly opposite a pub where we were able to have an evening meal. We would have no doubt in recommending, and would return if in the area again. It was very quiet, and the bed was very comfortable.

Avoid this place at all costs! It seems my experience is very much in line with other people who have stayed here (should have read the reviews!)||||Myself and my friend came in from a wedding reception chatting and were met by a very rude lady at the door who asked us to keep our voice down or she would throw us out. She was aggressive and unreasonable and then asked us to leave despite us saying we would be going straight to bed and would be quiet. She walked to our room and stood in the door way demanding that we pack and leave (this was just after midnight). We asked her to explain what we had done and explained we had not woke anyone up, were not being disruptive and would be going to bed. She would not listen and demanded we leave. I even got my phone out to record this as I was in shock at the situation and did not want her making up things to the owner and us not get a refund. Her response to this was to call me a ‘horrible woman’. ||She left us (two women) outside in the middle of the night. Not very safe! ||||On the subject of safety the smoke alarm was also covered up with a plastic bag! The room was also in poor condition with no working bathroom light, old mattresses and pretty unclean!||||When I emailed who I think is the owner the following day they were extremely unprofessional and rude in their response. I suspect the person responding to the emails is the same lady we experienced that night given the attitude but neither would give us a name! This person should not be running a Bed and Breakfast, the most unpleasant person I have ever dealt with.

Came to the area for a bowls tournament; basic large room with three single beds. Ground floor with a walk in shower which was good (I'm disabled), a couple of steps to get in the front door. Parking area is small. Breakfast was serve yourself, cereal, toast, yogurt, a bit of fruit and tea or coffee. All very basic, affordable, clean and quiet. Upside, good pub across the road, surprisingly not too noisy for a Saturday night.

This establishment doesn't have a reception and was meant to receive code numbers to gain access which I didn't. I had made them aware I would arrive at a specific time ( they were happy with that) . I stood outside in the rain trying to access entry until an access code number was sent by text. The duvets are very thin and I was frozen. The single soap sachet provided to shower with was inadequate with less than a teaspoon of liquid in! . The TV didn't work! At breakfast time ( self served which was ok) there was a selection of cereals and bread to toast. There were no spoons with which to eat cereal and no plates for toast. I knew it would be basic but really!!!

Rooms very basic. Clean bedding, but old and tired beds. Breakfast was cereal or toast. Nobody there to replenish items. No washing up facilities. There were no clean cups. One guest made her coffee in a glass.

I have written an email to the owners directly and had no reply. So, this is what I sent them. The room wash hand basin was leaking. Each time we pulled the plug out the water fell on the floor. We put a towel down and put the bin under it as we were worried the water might go through the floor. We rang the number twice to get nothing, as we were worried about their place and wanted to let them know. My husband is a plumber so understands the implications. In the morning there were no mugs for tea, very little water. CCTV will show this. Nobody to talk to. Maybe leave more supplies as there is no sink in the dining area. All very basic and you could get a Travelodge for the same and it would be better.

Terrível place to stay , the women I spoke to she’s so rude and very aggressive tone , also the rooms very dirty not clean , the tv didn’t work and it’s smaller than my laptop , also she got rules I found it very unacceptable, I don’t advise no one and I don’t recommend this place to no one really , after the way she spoke to me I decide ti stay in a friends house and I left my staff to pick it up next day in morning , also I have told her she is very unprofessional , never ever no one running this kind of business talk to me like that. , please do not book to this place as she give you unfair treatament

Very poor. The rooms were not clean, and the owners exaggerated our noise. We came in late after a celebration, and then the manager threatened to evict us via email. She also accused us of farting? However, we were not loud. ||Rather disappointed.
