Superb location, lovely rooms, slightly understated but chic service. Amazing views of the gorge and bridge from terrace, restaurant and some rooms. Great breakfast. Really comfortable rooms, including suites. Garden areas could do with a little tidy but nothing major. Parking a little tricky as in most of Clifton. They do have small car park (charges apply) and limited road parking with permits is available - we were lucky and got car park spaces. Breakfast quality and service was outstanding. White Lion bar offers a handy menu and reasonable selection of drinks. Hotel bar does great cocktails.

Excellent location and stunning view. Good parking, very friendly and helpful staff. Very good food and the best view (on a sunny day) from the terrace.
Only two negatives were the wait to check in was too long and, weird though this may sound, if you are not outside this is a very dark hotel. Itโs lovely and a worth a visit just for the view.

A really lovely dual aspect room on the second floor, particularly spacious to accommodate wheelchair access. |Breakfast was initially really poor for vegans but Hotel du Vin recovered well with the Full Vegan Breakfast. Sausages are (currently) supplied by Vegan Spice which took the simple breakfast of a grilled tomato, 2 mushroom heads and scrambled tofu to the next level. Ooh, and the vegan Black Pudding was a great texture. |Conveniently located to visit the individual boutiques and pubs plus, of course, you have great views of the suspension bridge.

Perfect Anniversary treat !||Fabulous from start to finish. Maria was extremely helpful when booking our room with great advice on the different room options and deals, this is what I love about the Hotel du vin chain, the service is exceptional. Stayed for dinner bed and breakfast in a junior suit with views of the bridge JUST BEAUTIFUL! we honestly couldnโt fault our time here. Been visiting all of their Hotels for the past 22 years and they never disappoint.

We stayed for one night as a treat for my husbands birthday. I paid for a room with a view which cost ยฃ240. One window in the room had a vague view if you were to stand on your tip toes and look over the wall.
The room was incredibly basic for the amount I paid. And when I told them it was for a birthday treat they added 2 deflated balloons next to the pillow. It was an insulting gesture.
I will say the bed was comfortable. That's the only praise I could give for the room.
The location for Clifton Village is great but I would suggest looking for a much more boutique hotel.
Coming in through the lobby also smelt of sick.
We were so disappointed.

Nice enough hotel. Room ok. Clean (ish) but fine. It's the front desk that needs improving. Arrived at 2pm Friday. Room not ready. Fair enough as check in is 3pm. Asked when it might be ready to be told sometime around 3ish. I said it's my birthday any chance you could find out as we wanted to unpack and go out. They totally ignored that and just said around 3pm. Well Happy Birthday to me! When we checked out today I put my key card in the box on reception said I'm checking out. The Girl on the front desk just said oh ok and that was it. What happened to did you have a nice stay etc? As it's your first impression when you walk into a hotel it needs massive improvement - unfriendly and cold really doesn't set a good tone

Well situated hotel for visiting the Clifton side of Bristol. Stunning view of the gorge and suspension bridge from the veranda and from quite a few of the bedrooms. The rooms are rather dark - it appears to be a Hotel du Vin signature - and because many are a modest size this makes them a bit gloomy and oppressive. Staff are friendly, but help with luggage not offered and the passageways to rooms include multiple steps and doors - so not great for anyone with limited mobility.

Exceptional weekend away for my partners 40th birthday. Everything we could have hoped for and more , champagne on ice , deluxe room with balcony excellent views , comfy & clean. Superb three course meal with drinks and to finish , a great breakfast buffet and cooked breakfast , fine dining at its best and the staff made the stay even more special , not the cheapest of places , but money well spent , will definitely come back.
