What a lovely, welcoming ladie is Kate. Beautiful bedroom at the front, with beautiful views ( even binoculars provided) . The bed was so comfy and bed linen smelt so clean and fresh. Breakfast was delicious, perfect poached egg 😋. Lots of choice. If ever in the area again I would definitely stay here x

was looking for somewhere close to Bristol for the coronation weekend as it was also a birthday for our mum after considering the premier inn and deciding not to choose them for various reasons we came across this stunning little B&B. |when we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Kate and offered a cup of tea whilst we got settled. |the room was bright spacious and had 2 stunning windows one overlooking the drive and the other with a stunning view out on the river where we could see ships arriving and departing the nearby ports of Avonmouth and Portbry there was also a equally stunning view from the bathroom. it was also clean and had everything we needed in the way of tea, coffee and milk. the bathroom also had plenty of toiletries like sanctuary shower gel and bubble bath, and plenty of towels. |Breakfast was a simple affair of cereal ,fruit, yoghurt and juice as well as a cooked breakfast which was cooked to your liking with plenty of toast and spreads |its in the perfect location for Bristol as well as a little further afield like street and Weston

Our room was beautifully decorated and had a sea view. Nice little touches like a dressing table, pretty coasters and a selection of shampoos and body lotions. Kate's daughter made us tea which came with delicious shortbread biscuits. Slept well on the large comfy bed and the breakfast was very generous - cereal, yoghurt and fruit as well as a perfectly cooked full English with toast. Only slight negative is that the shower could have been more powerful.

Stayed just for one night for a family gathering locally and it was absolutely perfect. The owner Kate went out of her way to make us feel at home, including offering us tea when we arrived. The lounge area was an added bonus to sit and relax and read a book and the bedrooms/bathrooms were large and beautifully kept and had fabulous views over the Channel too. ||Breakfast was as good as it gets anywhere, with a lovely cold selection including fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals and a very nice full English breakfast as well. ||I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this wonderful B&B to anyone, or indeed of returning ourselves again.

I booked a room at Avon View when circumstances led to me being stranded in Portishead for the night - and what an amazing room it turned out to be! I was given the family room, which was very spacious and just for £50 for one night, with an en suite bathroom with bath, overhead shower and various full-size toiletries. It had a stunning view of the Channel. Kate, the owner, brought me up a homemade shortbread biscuit and lovely pot of tea when I arrived and even found me a hot water bottle. There were Pukka herbal teas and homemade jams and marmalade for breakfast. And in a beautiful Georgian house.

I was looking for a twin room with an unobstructed view: on the Avonmouth to take pictures of the incoming and leaving cruise ships. It would be perfect in case it would have rained. Since I had luck, I could simply walk one block, and there was a public bench to sit and observe the Avonmouth. It was a typical bed and breakfast with a very personal touch. It reflected best with breakfast when you can enjoy the homemade marmalades and jams. Everything was prepared to order. A lot of details to make your stay very delighted. Very nice: the Egyptian Cotton towels. Good parking options on the yard and very beautiful garden.

Katy ,the owner was a wonderful host. We arrived earlier than expected for a function locally and changed the booking at the last minute. We were looked after in fine fashion offered tea on arrival and with beautiful;l shortbread as mentioned in previous reviews.||Wonderful breakfast set us up for the day and the journey home. Cannot thank you enough for treating us so well and can recommend this as a top quality stay. Thank you||Christine and Mike

Just got back from a 3 night stay. Beautiful house, my room was spacious, imaculatly clean and lovely touches that you would not expect to find in a B&B. Kate the owner is a charming friendly host. Would highly recommend a visit. Much better than corporate hotels. Calm and peaceful environment.
