If you are looking for a Guest House to stay in Slough please do not go to this one. The Manager is very abusive. When I stayed there, every night he would bang on my door shouting "Give me money now!" Even though I was paying he was watching me using the washing machine, the cooker and others were banned from using these facilities even though they were paying customers. He is also very greedy and charges the highest rates in Slough, £250 per week? Sometimes, he charges £500 per week depending on how he feels. The décor is terrible, ripped wallpaper, mould on walls and damp dirty carpets. He also has cameras dotted all over the B&B watching your every move and as soon as he sees you leaving your room, he comes out to watch what your doing. There's been a few times I have gone to use the toilet and he will leave his room to follow me......very creepy!!! I know the positive reviews are from his friends and family which is very biased. There is nothing good about this Guest House.

Would advise no one to stay on these premises! The owner is very rude, constantly moaning and constantly knocking on your door. He tried to tell me that my 5 day old baby couldn't have his moses basket in my room as it took up too much room and insisted he was to sleep in his car chair which me and my partner refused! The rooms are cold, and it doesn't help with a draft coming from the windows too. The room always had a horrible smell! And he too liked to freely go into our room and go through our stuff whilst we were not on the premises. If I'm honest I would rather sleep in a box on the street than go here. His manners and services are very poor and would never recommend this bnb to anyone!

I can only describe my stay as dire. I made a booking over the phone and the owner negotiated with me for a reasonable price for a twin bed room. When we arrived there where no booking forms involved or receipts given. When I asked where the tea and coffee making facilities where I was told there was a kettle in the kitchen, when I went to look there was a kettle but no cups or tea or coffee in the kitchen. there where no towels provided but we couldn't find anyone to ask for new ones as everybody had disappeared. As it was situated on the main road the traffic noise was continuous until the early hours of the morning. The shower in the room smelled of mould and the bathroom on the landing left a lot to be desired. there was even an iron shaped burn on the bedroom carpet. I would not recommend this guest house to anyone as I have spent nights away in much cleaner and better maintained hotels for a lot less per night.

We booked late for 1 night and it was cheap. The room is just not comfortable and the bed was not good. The room was really tiny and the bathroom is so small it was really hard to do anything! Even a ferry cabin was bigger. The tv would not even work. ||Breakfast was just ok. For what we paid it was probably ok but we can’t recommend it.

I stayed at Avondale Guest house for a business trip and I was horrified that such a dillapidated building was still standing, I asked for my money back and a rude old man who could barely understand me, refused and said it was too late now as he could not sell the room again at the time I arrived(9pm)||||The room was full of mildew all up the walls and damp patches everywhere, the shower area had black fungus everywhere and black flies the size of finger tips kept appearing from the air con in the bathroom. To top that of it seemed that a 1 or more questionable looking ladies were working out of the guest house.||||Also when I demanded my money back, for such shabby accomodation, the old man became very hostile and threatening and started to call people on the phone to come and remove me. I was going to call the police but decided not to as I needed to get to sleep for a meeting in the morning and ended up in the local Premier Inn for £89.

Me and my wife and kids stayed in a family room. Manager looked after us very well. Hotel is in a nice spot as in walkable distance to high street and local parks. Plenty of Car park. Safe and secure place to stay.

I had recently stayed at the hotel with my family and it was worth the price. When needed anything, the manager provided us with it and was very helpful. The hotel was warm which was really good as it is the winter. I would recommend the hotel and it's a good price compared to other hotels.

Do not stay here unless you have no alternative. My room was cold and damp, carpets dirty. the only plus point was the shower, which was great. Breakfast was fried egg on toast, with no other alternative.
