The hotel rooms are very dated and as you will see from the images there was mould in my bathroom 🚽 on arrival. There was also black mould in the toilet basin. There were sockets in the room directly behind a radiator and you couldn’t get the socket in unless you really tried. Also there is a system where you walk to a corridor and fill up your own water and milk. I understand this concept if it was filled prior to your arrival and then if you wanted more you get it yourself, very weird and almost lazy from the hotel. The pillows had a very strange odour to them. The hallways and bar area have a more modern feel to them too and the staff were extremely friendly. You’ll pay £6.70 for certain beers and over £3 for a Diet Coke at the bar and you’ll pay for parking. I would mark the hotel room two stars 🌟. The addition of the pool steam rooms and gym boost the hotel up more in my whole review. I think the rooms need investment. Having a phone in your bathroom is peculiar I could imagine having to face the toilet and pick up the phone or imagine anyone has ever had to. The water in the sink didn’t wash away it just filled up and there were stain on the sofa in the room. A really good tidy up or deep clean would help the hotel a lot. The hotels breakfast was actually really nice and all the waiting staff were again really lovely I couldn’t fault them. I enjoyed a good 30 minute swim and 30 minute gym session and I would say the facilities were clean and presentable. Lastly the hotel has electrical chargers for vehicles but you have to pay.

The hotel is set out like a motel, however the interior is well finished the bar and restaurant area is pretty fancy. Didn't use the spa, though the pool looked nice and a good size.
Rooms were comfortable and spacious, with nice touches like fresh milk and water available in the halls.
Only issue i had was the road noise was very intrusive through the flimsy patio doors, they must realise this as ear buds had been left in the room.

Absolutely phenomenal experience! From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable—truly a cut above. The spa facilities were exceptional, offering pure relaxation and indulgence. The food was absolutely fantastic, with every dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Every detail was handled with care, making the entire stay unforgettable. I genuinely cannot wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an extraordinary hotel and spa experience! The hotel has a subtle ship theme throughout which is fantastically done.

I bought my mum and I an afternoon ritual package for an early mother’s day gift. This includes pool access, afternoon tea and a spa treatment for £120.00 each. On arrival, we were told that the afternoon tea would be served in the lounge area within the spa, rather than the restaurant. We thought that was fine - though the area is used by individuals accessing the gym too, so it was a little crowded once we were served our afternoon tea. ||I appreciate that there was likely something going on in the restaurant which stopped us from going there, but our afternoon tea was served without any actual tea. When we asked the member of staff she was really lovely - but we had to get our own tea from the instant machine which I thought was really disappointing, especially considering the price we paid. The food itself was fine, though we weren’t actually told what each sandwich and cake contained, which could be an issue if either of us had any dietary requirements. ||Our spa treatments came next, and when we arrived at the relaxation room to fill in consultation forms, there were no members of staff present - so we had to find the forms ourselves and wait 10 minutes after our appointment time for someone to arrive. The two ladies who completed our treatments were really lovely and did a really good job, but there was a lack of communication that stressed me out a little bit after wanting to have a relaxing day for me and my mum. ||Overall, my mum said she really enjoyed her day, but I can’t help but feel disappointed by the lack of organisation - and that no tea was served with our afternoon tea. Definitely not worth the price.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised upon arriving at this hotel. While the exterior is a bit, well … bland, stepping inside felt like discovering a hidden gem. The interior is a warm, inviting retreat with striking oversized wooden beams, plush sofas, and grand fireplaces that radiate charm. It checked all the right boxes for coziness and comfort. ||Our Signature Room was spacious and thoughtfully designed, filled with elegant, unexpected touches. Loved the empty milk bottle that you can fill up from the floor. Now that’s new!||Great pool and jacuzzi. I enjoyed a leisurely swim pre check-in while my wife sat peacefully in the bar with a glass of wine. Getting back to my swim, While we adore children, we appreciated the hotel’s considerate offering of kid-free time slots. ||As for dinner, we had a wonderful meal in a beautifully styled fining room. As for the restaurant service - it was perfect. Emily, our server, stood out with her attentive, warm, and professional demeanor. She truly elevated our evening, making it unforgettable. ||I appreciate other reviews of this hotel can be s bit hit and miss. As for my stay, it was definitely a hit. We would certainly stay here again.

Aztec Hotel is a great hotel but unfortunately my experience wasn't so good. As we walked into the hotel we decided to have a quick lunch before our spa and massage. We ordered 1 risotto and 1 chicken sandwich which arrived after 3-4 minutes. Immediately after we felt sick and have been sick for the whole day and night. The food was absolutely horrendous, it wasn't fresh but pre-made and warmed up before serving it. Risotto tasted anything but burned garlic and burned mushrooms. In fact, I barely had half plate. I believe that for a 4 star hotel, having such a poor quality food is not professional. Price-value is definitely not matching.
Location is not central to anything nice. The hotel is not well connected with anything nice by walk. To go to a nice bar or restaurant you need a cab as the closest place to be is at least 20 mins far by car.
On the other hand, the SPA service, facilities and masseurs are absolutely great and the pool - although very busy at most of the times - is nice and clean.
All the staff is nice and polite.

We had a rocky start to our spa weekend away when there were no robes in our room and we were asked to wait in the (long) check-in queue to talk to the reception team about it, despite the fact we had just gone through waiting in the queue to check-in in the first place. Luckily a member of the cleaning team went out of their way to help us! Other than the missing robes, the rest of our trip was very enjoyable. Lovely facilities and a fantastic restaurant. Staff are polite and friendly.
