Came here with my partner to both use the fire and ice and have an Indian head massage each. From the minute we got there we felt like the staff behind reception were very abrupt and rude. We then got told to take a towel and head down but then had to tell the lady that we didn't know where to go and what to do as never been here before. she shown us to the changing room and informed us the ladies shower wasn't working. We then had 1 hour in the fire and ice and then went and waited for our treatment. I went in 3 minutes late and came out of my treatment 24 minutes later. I received the incorrect treatment which was a back massage. This is also nearly £10 cheaper than the Indian head massage. Overall we weren't happy with our experience that's supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable. We won't be returning. Over priced for the experience you receive.

My partner and myself booked the Actec Relax package, £80 for an hour of the fire & ice, a half-hour massage and lunch included, which we felt was very good value for money. On arrival, my partner wished to booked book us an extra treatment each which was only £50, which the staff were very happy to help us with. The fire & ice experience was amazing, the only downside being that when there is a larger group there can be a wait for some of the things like the heat loungers. The relaxation area is very cosy and quiet, with free hot drinks which were very welcome and made the experience sat on the loungers very, very relaxing. The massages, for myself a Swedish back and Indian head massage, were incredible and would've been worth going just for them alone. For lunch, we ordered the aztec burger which was tasty and came with a generous portion of fries, there was a bit of a wait for the food but not unreasonable. After the food, there was about an hour wait for our next massages which was actually very welcome, because, as previously mentioned, the relaxation area is very relaxing especially in the fluffy robes provided. Another downside is that after the spa, you have access only to the main pool which is a lot more noisy and is a very different experience from the spa to say the least. Overall, staff were very friendly and welcoming, and facilities were all very clean. The few issues we did face were not nearly enough to detract from the experience, and we were very happy with the experience and would come again when we are next in Torquay. Thank you to all the staff for such an amazing experience.

Doesn’t look or feel clean, overpriced for a swim, even worse when you have the dip and dine, as the foods poor and expensive….. but the worst bit is the attitude of the staff….. god just rude…… welcome to the English Rivera

I won’t use Aztec again, we’ve used the spa before as well as the facilities at TLH, now I was told from staff that as long as you are using the facilities at TLH then you can park there free of charge. I then got a letter through the post with a parking fine. I have spent a lot of money there for spa treatments for my partner and myself as well as the bowling and games area for the kids. It is disgraceful that they are charging for parking for this, what makes it worse is that the sign on the entrance is poorly situated for a driver and that the camera is hidden high up the building. I asked at reception if they could help me with this and they offered nothing. We won’t book there ever again.

Always visited for swimming, really like this place but would definitely like more lane options for the pool, but understand it is a hotel so not a dedicated swimming pool. If you are a member you can use the members changing rooms which I didnt know for like 2 years so definitely keep that in mind. The members changing rooms are pretty clean and tidy, slightly more than the public ones but overall good. Wouldn't say it's the cleanest place I've ever been but it is certainly ok. It can get really busy so swimming lengths can be difficult and I have left early a couple of times just because I wasn't able to swim as well as I would have liked. Overall good, but not 5 star. Would go back though.

My friend & I booked some last minute massages here. We were so impressed. Not only was the customer service from lovely Kitty fantastic where nothing was too much trouble but Masseurs Izzy & Lucy
( Magic Paws) as I now call her were absolutely wonderful. My friend who travelled down from London said it was the best massage she had ever had & has been to many top spas. Secondly, Lucy you were absolutely fantastic. I was very stiff from a previous injury and from a lot of work. You really sorted me out. My whole body feels lighter. We were so impressed on our first visit that we immediately booked another which were also fantastic. We can't wait to visit you again. Thank you so much for sorting out our massages at such short notice Kitty & Izzy & Lucy , thank you for soothing & pampering two stressed, busy & achy ladies. You're the best. ? A little bit dated in some areas, shower was amazing though. Not very relaxing in the spa as lots of young guys doing bombs in the pool - should be at a pool really if this is what they want to do
