I'd been out of Coventry for a while so today I took my partner for breakfast. Now, the last time I went there was several years ago. It was painted red and was quite dark inside. Wooden tables and a completely different experience.
It's very clean and bright. But, they have sacrificed the memorabilia that was all over the Cafe. It lacks personality and talking points.
We ordered 2 breakfasts. The toast came first. Already buttered.
It was cold by the time the plates were served. Then, had to ask for cutlery because it wasn't delivered with the food.
No sauces (ketchup, brown, or mayo) were offered.
Food is nice. But, the service was poor.
Also, wondering if it's probably changed hands. They really should put some of the old memorabilia back. The place seems a bit like a dentists waiting area.

First time I’ve been here and can honestly say it was the nicest English breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Clean friendly and affordable.

Lovely staff, the food was alright , the bacon abit too thick and mushrooms had a weird taste. Overall everything was good and attractive prices.

Really friendly team - great food and reasonable prices. Under new management and recently refurbished (nice to see profits put back in to improve customer experience) but importantly- it's the same team in the kitchens - turning out the BEST sunday dinner - as good as my Nans (RIP) - High praise indeed - and well deserved - proper taste of home cooked food. Sunday dinner is also delivered option - you simply MUST try this place - I've been using for 7 years now - would be lost without 'em on Sunday - thanks to a great team. Frankly- you'd be mad NOT to check it out!!

Delivery was quick and very polite lady. Chicken Sunday dinner are to do die for. Very good portions at a good price. Used this restaurant when I was at my old address and they are still the same. Will order again and would highly recommend.
