Stephen & June made us very welcome and provided excellent advice about things to do in the area. On Stephen's recommendation, we went down to the Giant's Causeway after a lovely dinner and watched the sun set over the columnar basalt. As for the house, it was as if we'd booked into Downton Abbey - paintings and interesting tchotchkes covered the walls and dressers. There's an extensive garden which is a joy to wander in and photograph. And there's even a ruined keep - Ballylough Castle - behind the house. The room was very comfortable with a nice shower.

Ballylough House proved to be an excellent choice for a short getaway! The fast Starlink connected Internet allowed me to stay connected while enjoying the serene countryside. The comfortable rooms and hot showers provided a much-needed respite after a day of exploration. The highlight was undoubtedly the amazing food, complemented by the rich history surrounding the property. Additionally, we were blessed with amazing weather throughout our stay, making it a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend Ballylough House for anyone seeking a professional yet enjoyable escape.

My friends and I jusr spent an idyllic weekend in this beautiful Georgian house. The house and grounds are extraordinary, rich in history and immaculate. June made us feel very welcome with scones and tea! Breakfast was delicious and entirely made from local produce of the highest standard. Other personal touches, like the drinks bar, the portraits in the drawing room and the book on family history made this accommodation unique. In short, I would return here in a heartbeat and recommend Ballylough house to friends and family.

I wish I had researched the history of this house and it’s owners before I visited. I didn’t appreciate the amazing history and had no idea what to expect when I arrived. David is a charming host/tour guide/historian. Though the rooms are clean, the bed comfortable and the breakfast plentiful and tasty, don’t visit expecting the comforts of a modern hotel. Think of this more as a visit To a wonderful museum. On the morning we left the house we visited the giants Causeway where i heard about David’s ancestor who had installed the first hydro powered tram. I smiled to think I’d just met a charming member of his family.

Wonderful stay at Ballylough with David and June. We were kindly upgraded on arrival to the spacious and beautifully decorated Shane’s Room with view of the stunning remains of a ruined castle in the garden (pictured). Both David and June made us feel exceptionally welcome, serving tea and scones on arrival, and giving us a tour of the grounds in the morning after breakfast. So much local history here to discover regarding both the family and surrounding area. The breakfast consisted of a delicious fruit salad, cereals, toast, homemade jams and a hearty Ulster fry with potato and soda bread, together with coffee, teas, juices etc. A perfect start to the day. We loved our time here and we will certainly be recommending this stunning house to our friends and family. We are already looking forward to planning our next stay.

Our stay included a tour of the grounds & gardens by a member of the family. The family have lived here for 300 years. The family heritage & history are evident all around this family home. The atmosphere makes this a real experience. Shane makes a great breakfast complete with fresh fruit salad and freshly brewed coffee. The bedrooms are comfortable, clean & spacious with ensuites. There is plenty of room to relax by the fire in the lounge. Old Bushmills Distillery is just down the road along with plenty of great restaurants. Shane was kind enough to make a recommendation & booking for dinner for us.

David and June Trail were superb hosts at this historic B&B setting. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was scrumptious and plentiful. There’s plenty to do and see in the area so plan on staying for a few days. The town of Bushmills is 4 minutes drive with very good restaurants. Tartine was a great one. Enjoy!

Lovely to be greeted by David on arrival who showed us round the beautiful house and grounds. The food was superb with care taken to meet our preferences including fresh produce from the garden. Had an amazing sausage! Perfect location for exploring the coast and visiting the Giant’s Causeway etc. We were made to feel most welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Will certainly visit again. Thank you so much to all. This really kicked off our Ireland tour.
