What a great find! Lovely secure gated holiday cottage/s, we stayed in Dairy cottage which is dog friendly. The owners are very helpful and friendly, they have established a very well maintained and run holiday venue. The cottage we stayed in was very well maintained and extremely clean considering it is a dog friendly cottage , it has everything you need for a home away from home feel, it has a small fenced courtyard which is great as you can relax knowing your dog is safe and secure, it has a gas BBQ , table chairs and sun umbrella . The cottage has a great wet room , all the towels and bedding is provided and again in good order! |The area within the farm is home to a small zoo !!! Donkeys, llamas, goats, chickens, a wolf whistling parrot , live birds and a very friendly cat who comes in for a nosey if you leave patio door open!|It has a fishing lake and my husband wished he’d bought fishing kit, so much so he’s booking for next year and coming with a fishing colleague all in all a great destination!!|The farm also has another 2 cottages with private garden but not for dogs and it has 3 large static caravans , all in well maintained and serviced environment. Highly recommend this place!!

We have just returned from a brilliant long weekend stay at Barmston Farm. The caravans are clean, spacious and well equipped. The surroundings are incredibly safe & I felt at ease letting my 2 children run off to the on-site park which they loved! The outdoor space was our children’s favourite. They had so much room to play. The fishing lake is fantastic! It isn’t open to the public so only residents can fish which means that sometimes, you do get the entire lake to yourself! The whole site is exceptionally well kept & the time & effort they have put in to create this hidden gem is clear to see. Prior to our stay, I did read a review about the road being full of pot holes. Yes, it does have pot holes, as do most off road tracks due to the constant bad weather! You can drive around them!

Absolutely amazing 5 nights from start to finish. The cottage had the wow factor and was spotless. So so welcoming and everything we wanted. Owners very friendly and always there if needed. We went to fish and fish we did for 4 solid days catching plenty. We ate at the local pub which was also great and shops were near by. Couldn’t have asked for anything better and will definitely be returning.

We have visited Barmston Farm on 2 occasions, once in a caravan and last week in Dairy Cottage which is dog friendly. Enjoyed both holidays and accommodation great.

Absolutely fabulous place. Can't rate it highly enough. My son enjoyed the fishing lake & I loved looking around at the animals. Accommodation is fantastic. High end property. One small (very small) complaint, the double room needs a king size bed. A double bed really is just for one person. Also, needs a shelf in the bathroom for toothpaste & toothbrushes. I can't wait to book again. My son thought it was amazing, having its own private fishing lake that was well stocked.

Had a great stay, accommodation was great, we stayed in one of the cottages, which are lovely, clean and big enough for families, good wifi,and everything you need, fishing was brilliant, Nigel and Fiona are very friendly and helpful, park is great , there are animals , game room and a playground for the little ones,There are plenty of shops and pubs close by, will definitely be going back

We stopped in the Otter Cottage in August 2021. The cottage was fabulous. Well maintained, clean and we had everything we needed provided. The whole facilities were great. My dad is disabled and they were very accommodating with the fishing facilities. The farm was quiet and peaceful. There were lots of things to do around and about and we had a great time. We will definitely be back!

Liked: Excellent setting, the static was clean and well equipped, the grounds are well kept and secure. The hostess was welcoming and helpful on arrival. Fishing was great with lots of fish caught of a reasonable size.
The holiday was a fishing break for me my son and brother and for that could not have been better and we were lucky enough to enjoy good weather during our stay.

Disliked: In contrast to the hostess the host was grumpy and not at all pleasant. Although the static could not be faulted, I would not recommend it for 3 grown men as the bedrooms are tiny but for a family with children it would be fine. I cannot understand why the grounds are so well kept and yet the banks of the lake have not been maintained in years. There is not one platform that is safe to use, they are all rotted and overgrown and constitute a health and safety issue. A portaloo would also be desirable as it is a way back to toilet facilities, not at all friendly to people with mobility issues.
