TERRIBLE PLACE. Got no sleep people were talking all night in the room nearby. Paper thin walls could hear all the banging of doors etc. why the hell do people not sleep here. I don’t know what kind of people are permitted to make bookings here. They’re so weird to not even sleep all night. I hated it here. Worst decision I’ve made booking this hotel. Absolute waste of money and time. The hotel is ugly and old. It’s such a strange place. Had a horrible experience. I requested a quiet room as well and my sleep was disrupted for the whole 2 nights I stayed here.

Rubbish hotel. What kind of stupid people come here to stay that don’t even flipping sleep all night. It’s disgusting and disrespectful. I made a specific request about getting quiet room as well. That wasn’t listened to clearly. I was promised that this room was quiet. The traffic noise is so loud as well. Hotels are supposed to be peaceful and relaxing. I got none of that. This was such awful experience. I deserve a refund tbh. I hated it here. It’s not even clean, there’s dust and the decor is really ugly. Such a weird place. I don’t recommend this place, my biggest regret! I’m so disappointed and upset by this rubbish experience.

Great hotel, well priced with good sized rooms and on site parking. The rooms had a nice old world feel with character, which makes a change from the sparse modern feel hotels often go for. Staff were friendly and polite,

Quirky budget property with loads of unusual nic-naks.
As we arrived, a couple of empty beer cans sat on the tables and chairs by the reception door, which wasn't a great first impression. A small bin out there would probably help.
Once inside though it was lovely and quirky in an old-fashioned way. Carpets were tired, but it was tidy and clean.
The two members of staff that we met were pleasant and very helpful. We couldn't find the remote for the TV in our room and they offered to bring another TV which we turned down.
Our carpet wasn't wonderfully vacuumed but everywhere else was clean.
The room was a little tired but functional.
However in the bathroom the blind was broken and we couldn't open it.
Overall a reasonable budget hotel.

I didn’t like staying here. Got no sleep as people in the nearby room were talking loud all night. You could hear everything. Banging doors in the middle of the night as well. I don’t like the decor, the building is really old and outdated.i requested a quiet room and was promised it would be quiet and it wasn’t. The traffic noise is so loud as well due to the windows being so old.

Stayed for 14 nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff were lovely, especially the young manager. It’s extremely well ran and the rooms were immaculate. Would highly recommend to anyone. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Stayed in suite 18. It was spacious and comfortable. The lovely staff were always on hand if needed. The atmosphere was calm and traditional with beautifully restored rooms and antique touches. The food was spot on. ||Would definitely come back.

Stayed for 1 night, honest review:|Good:|-staff seemed friendly enough when interacted |-was clean |-decent car park |-en suite|-good wi fi|-had tea/coffee facilities ||Bad:|- Worst nights sleep of my life!! thin walls, could hear people talking in other bedrooms, could hear doors closing all night and people walking around in the middle of the night in the hallway (Tue night), floorboards were creaking, went on all night. Didn’t feel totally safe or comfortable due to that. Was beyond knackered the next day! |- No bar, asked for nearest pub, told where to go but no idea of names of pubs/restaurants or recommendations, just knew there were three pubs a drive away |- Decor needs updating, outdated and wallpaper was hanging off by radiator |- Pre paid for breakfast, told chef is off sick, got refund. No breakfast |- Pics on booking.com aren’t up to date |- No glasses in room |- My Step Mum’s hotel hairdryer in her room broke||Would I stay again? Absolutely not!! Pay a bit more & get a premier inn. Literally paid for the worst nights sleep of my life in a bit of a dive. Probably worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in

We booked the place while returning from Scotland by road and it was tiring. We had to reach London so we took a break in Wolverhampton. The hotel was affordable so we booked in emergency straightaway. The parking was fine but rooms were awful, dirty and had a strange smell. Curtains were stained with dust probably. The worst thing was heating. There was no heating despite it being on no. 5 so i felt feverish at 11:30 pm. We had to empty our coke bottle and fill in hot water to feel better. The water in sink is cold and have to wait for quite some time to get it hot. Wasn’t pleasant overall.
