Before Saturday night, this would be a 5 star review. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good. The rooms are snug but comfortable. However beneath the bedrooms is a party room. Who thought that was a good idea? Saturday night was a birthday party and so we were entertained by bad karaoke until after midnight. They had a great time. Us, not so much. So, before you book, check if the party room has been booked.

Oh my, £85 for a dirty room that looks nothing like the quaint country look seen in advertisements. Curtains/blind were missing and the only clue they were ever there are the holes in the wall that accommodated the pole, a dirty flannel stuffed in a dirty glass in the bathroom. The shower could do with a good bleaching not that I could use it because the water was only just luke warm even after running it for 5 minutes. The breakfast box consisted of a bottle of orange juice and 3 snacks.||The advertisement states that a cooked breakfast could be ordered but the establishment downstairs doesn't offer this now and I couldn't obtain an evening meal because the kitchen closed at 4pm and the bar at 8pm.||There is WiFi but nowhere was the password to be found.||I could have paid £35 at the Travelodge just up the road, for the same experience but I expect that it had hot water.

Hairs in bathroom, cleaned after complained.
Room is small for the money charged. Needs update.
Not connected to pub so don't think there is food as mon, tues, weds there isn't in January. Nothing on B and B site to state this but is on pub website - (didn't look) meal was cooked as 3 people wanted food - basic average food not like pub images.
Woken at 7.30 by dustmen and beer delivery - emailed and told by owner 7.30 is acceptable time to be woken up as id had enough sleep...says it all really.

Travelodge next time up the road.

For some reason, my review has been removed. Also I have been banned from there Facebook page and had my review removed. THIS IS A GENUINE REVIEW :)||||Really disappointed. Heard some good things about this place. Ordered the platter for three. Came out in a reasonable time. All stone cold. Asked if we wanted anything else, yes I want the veg I replied, bought the veg out. Then asked if we wanted anything else, yes a knife and fork would be good. Told the lady it was cold as nobody had checked on us. I also told her about the two freezing cold black roast potatoes (that’s all we got). I can’t upload a photo on here unfortunately so I’ll pop on trip advisor. Nothing done about my complaint but a card machine waved in my face. NEVER AGAIN. HIDDEOUS STAFF, DO NOT RECOGNISE COMPLAINTS. STAY CLEAR!!!!!!

This B and B is not run by the pub next door even though they share the same name. There was no one there to meet us when we arrived and the pub was closed. We rang the pub and a chef managed to find the key. The room is very dated and the storage heaters look well past there sell by date even though we didn't need to use them. The cleaners never made the bed nor empty the full small bin. This place is ok but only for a few days. There is no cooked breakfast at weekend as it says there is also the WiFi is dreadful and no information guide in the room letting u know password and any information that maybe useful.

Would highly recommend a visit! Absolutely brilliant service, wide range of amazing drinks and the food was delicious! We went with a group of friends and we all loved it! Would definitely recommend to everyone. If you want that lovely pub feel in the bar side (which is also dog friendly) or have some luxury on the louge/restaurant side, there's something for everyone.

A bit disappointed. Although clean, this is a basic pub and does not offer the facilities you would expect in a 4* establishment. The room was very small, a bed and two side tables only. Very small bathroom with barely enough room to stand in. No lounge for guests and breakfast was available a box left in the room on arrival.

The food is fantastic and such a wide range of food to choose from, a good choice of beer and non alcoholic beverages. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Thoroughly recommend and we will come back.
