The perfect place for an unpretentious coffee with lots of windows for natural sunlight and comfortable seating. I enjoyed my cappuccino and word search puzzle (on the kid’s menu).

When you serve an expresso always, always warm up the cup first. This is one of the basic rules if you want your place to be of “barista” level. Nice environment and furniture.

I have to say that was the best Oat milk latte I have ever had! only fault is the place needs to be more inviting, some comfy sofas maybe with coffee tables etc and it would be a great place to meet someone for a coffee, just felt it lacked in any sort of comfort but honestly THE best latte I have ever had, would definitely return but would be a lot nicer if it was more inviting, it was cold outside but feels cold inside aswell, not the temperature I mean the decor and space felt cold, staff were great also, would give this cafe 4/5 stars if it was more comfortable and I would have stayed for another tbh!

Lovely, bright, family-friendly cafe. Coffee is reliable rather than artisanal, but it’s more about the space- it’s attached to the gallery so a nice amenity to have in the centre of town. Only one toilet facility, but again the gallery is next door. Support your local, not the chains!

After queuing up for 10 minutes told at 12.55 on a Monday afternoon that they are no longer serving food! A children's lunch bag consisting of a ham sandwich and beans on toast is hardly a complicated culinary request. Certainly won't bother with the place on our return visit to the Herbert Gallery and Museum.

We”ve visited the sister site numerous times over the years, and have been looking forward to the new shop opening. The shop feels light and airy with huge windows opening out to another seating area. Unfortunately the weather was a little too cool to enjoy this. The staff are all friendly and professional keeping the cafe spotlessly clean and tidy. As always the coffee is brewed perfectly and food delicious and well presented. This coffee shop has become a firm favourite and already looking forward to our next visit,

Went to see the fabulous JOY and Coventry Collects exhibitions at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum. Free and staff knowledgeable and freindly !!Thought I would try out Baxters. Clean, but felt food little overpriced. A small tea costs £2.50 I asked staff about Blue Light card Discount and they did not understand . Tea was nice as was the free tap water in fridge with lovely paper cups and straws eco- sourced but costs offset onto cafe food and drink? Nice to see windows are airy allowing natural light to flood in. Could not really see how it's become child friendly as children's play space has gone and the cafe relies on museum for activities and toilet facilities as housed inside the museum.
