I stayed here for two nights and I really enjoyed my stay. My room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was delicious. This hotel is very quiet unless your room neighbours are loud because the doors are not very sound proof. This is the only downside of this hotel. It is perfect if you are travelling without a car, too as it is located about a 20 min walk from the trainstation and 15 min from the city center. I was a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and I would stay here again.

Not quite was we were hoping for. My daughter thought she was treating me to a 'boutique' hotel stay in York with her for my birthday. Although we had a really lovely time together in York, the hotel was really quite disappointing. Whilst it is in a great location, only 10 mins walk to the centre on a pleasant tree lined street that is the only positive thing we could say. Staff were polite but wouldn't describe them as happy or friendly. The main reception and dining area appeared nice although possibly in need of re decorating.
We were given a room apart from the main building and was a pretty disappointed with it. It was rather basic. The main door sticks which was a little annoying. The decorating hasn't been particularly well done. The shower room was not as clean as it should be ie dusty and smelled damp and musty. It didn't spoil our stay but it was hardly the 'boutique' experience we were expecting and looking forward to. The breakfast was ok although again very basic. Don't think the quality of ingredients were that great. Tasteless, bland sausage and bacon.

It's a nice B&B, located a little away from the downtown but in a nice and quiet neighboord ideal for relaxing. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed (maybe a little small), a good shower, and good Wi-Fi. The staff is very friendly and helpful, willing to help at any time. The breakfast was very good.

Just home after a 4 night stay at this beautiful,relaxing and friendly hotel. We had room 1 can't fault it one bit we had everything we needed. The beds were clean and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Will definitely be back and recommending it to family and friends.

Excellent location of B&B, only a 10 minute walk to town. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly, felt very welcome. Breakfast was amazing and good quality. Rooms were clean and very nice. Good for price!

Outstanding Stay at B+B York – Perfect for a Special Weekend!

My wife chose B+B York for our stay, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Their warmth and attentiveness added a personal touch that made our Valentine's weekend even more special.

Room & Amenities:
The room was spotless, well-equipped, and beautifully maintained. The shower was fantastic, and everything we needed was readily available. Cleanliness and comfort were clearly a priority, which we truly appreciated.

Service & Atmosphere:
One of the highlights of our stay was the staff. Their friendly and professional approach made us feel at home. A comment from them about my positivity and how happy my wife looked really stood out—it made our stay feel even more special.

Food & Drinks:
The bar had a great selection of drinks, and the breakfast was simply outstanding. Every bite was delicious, and the standard plate service was excellent. As someone in the Royal Navy, I have high standards, and this place met them all.

Overall, B+B York exceeded our expectations in every way. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality service, comfort, and a warm atmosphere!

Welcoming Staff, particularly Joseph. Could leave bags from 11am prior to check in and park car until 11am the next day for £10. Then a 10-15 minute walk to York Minster. I had a downstairs room by request as the property does not have a lift, being a Victorian style building. Generous en- suite. Bar area at night. Breakfast catered for gluten free option.
