Absolutely Outstanding Stay!

I cannot recommend the Beaumond Cross Inn highly enough! From the moment we arrived, Paul and his family went above and beyond to make our stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Their hospitality is second to none—genuinely warm, attentive, and welcoming.

The breakfast was a real highlight—catering to every taste and dietary need, with a fantastic variety of options. Honestly, it was the tastiest breakfast I’ve had in a very long time! And the food offered throughout the day is just as impressive—delicious, well-presented, and clearly made with care.

The Inn itself is charming and comfortable, with a lovely, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Whether you're passing through or staying for a few days, this is without question a fantastic place to stay in Newark. Thank you again to Paul and his family for such a memorable experience!

We pre-booked a meal in the restaurant before going to the Theatre. Good location for the Theatre as it’s only six minutes walk away. It was a particularly hot evening and we found the restaurant to be far too warm to be comfortable as there was no air flow. We opted to look outside and sat on one of the benches in the car park area. We admired the array of 30 plus very attractive hanging baskets placed all around the area of the car park. The menu was very extensive with lots of choice all or most of which was freshly Home made. The cod with vegetables and chips was a little bland although I opted for the lamb mint pie with mint sauce gravy, which I felt was excellent. The treacle sponge with ice cream was shared between the two of us and it was very good with one portion certainly enough for the two of us. Overall, the food was quite good and nice to see homemade food. However, the main reason for the score is due to the price. The price of 75 pounds for two light drinks (tonic water and a soda water) with two main courses, and one shared sweet is too much. 10% service charge was automatically added to the bill which made the single sweet almost £14. Overall good quality food but far too expensive for the standard of the venue

I stayed for one night, on a Saturday, and was accommodated in the Cottage at No 17. It was immaculate, the bathroom superb, with a splendid shower and gorgeous free standing bath. Two bedrooms , one with two single beds, the other with a huge double, were more than I needed, but both excellent. Bedlinen was beautifully crisp and comfortable. Breakfast on the Sunday morning was freshly prepared and delicious. I felt really welcome, and enjoyed every aspect of the experience. Plus it is brilliantly placed for access to the town centre, and has excellent parking, what is not to like?

Arrives at Beaumond Cross Inn to a warm and friendly welcome. A real home from home feel.
The host took the time to take us to our room and show us all the thoughtful extras that had been provided including a sewing kit, stationary and fresh chilled milk for our morning coffee.
The room and all the facilities were incredibly clean with not one scratch, mark or spec of dust anywhere.

We had our evening meal in restaurant and could not believe the quality (and quantity!) of food, it was exceptional

We will definitely be back and would recommend the Beaumond Cross Inn to everyone

I’ve just back from an excellent stay with friends at this hotel. This is a very friendly family business who made me very welcome and provided spotlessly clean comfortable accommodation. The breakfast was brilliant and the location perfectly placed for visiting surrounding amenities. The bar area was comfortable and provided a good atmosphere for our friends reunion. Free parking was provided also.

The accommodation was 1st class. The cottage was clean and comfortable. High quality furnishings and decor. Beds were comfortable and bathroom equipped with more than enough towels. Hosts were friendly and with a great breakfast selection. Highly recommended if staying in the area

Wonderful, friendly service from all concerned. We had advised of a late arrival, 2315, but it was simple. A drink was offered, even at that late hour; we were led to our room, with clear instructions from Carol. The room was compact but beautifully clean and extremely well equipped. Location is convenient for main line east coast railway, but there was some inevitable noise from the road outside our window. Breakfast was chosen from vast selection on the menu and was produced speedily with yet more friendly, attentive service. When do we need to use the hotel again? Can't wait.

Had an amazing overnight stay in the cottage here which was comfortable and convenient. Woke up to an amazing breakfast that set us up for the day. Owners are lovely and really helpful.
Can't recommend staying here enough, will definitely be back again!
