This is fantastic B&B with great hosts! Gilly is a wonderful host and her husband Gary makes a mean omelette. They are very knowledgeable about the island and happy to share information. None of their recommendations have gone wrong. Very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Can't say enough positive things about Gilly and Gary (and their staff) and the Bedford Lodge! We took over this B&B with our rather large wedding group and everything was absolutely perfect. The rooms were all amazing and the overall decoration throughout the lodge was perfect! The gardens are so gorgeous and there is plenty of space to just sit out side and enjoy the beautiful setting.
They are located well, just a few blocks down to the beach and right by the main road in town, so an easy walk for food and such as well.
Breakfast was great every single day - loved the fresh fruit and creative omelettes and the fresh croissants. Everyone went out of their way to make sure that each guest had what they needed and was comfortable. Rooms were well sized with comfortable beds and extremely refreshing showers. Our stay here was such an overall positive experience and I would most highly recommend the Bedford Lodge to anyone visiting Shanklin - there can't be a better accommodation elsewhere, so just choose this one!
I look forward to returning during the warmer summer months and I would most definitely stay here again and again!

We decided to stay here because all the reviews we had seen about Bedford Lodge were so good. Having stayed there for 4 nights in early May 2024 (2 rooms, 3 adults) we were all decided that there wasn't anything more or better to add to all the previous reviews. Except to say that this is probably the best B&B at which we have ever stayed and our hosts, Gilly & Gary, were just marvellous. Well done and well appreciated. Once again ,Bedrord lodge in Shanklin has proven to be a delightfull retreat. I have just returned from a five day stay.Jilly and Gary the hosts are the epitome of hospitality., always going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Also remembering linda Who helps out. The dedication to service is truly commendable.||The breakfast is a highlight ,with a wonderfull cooked selection that energises you for the day ahead. The location coulnt be better-nestled within mature,peacfull gardens in the charming old town of Shanklin, its a serene escape from the husle and bustle.||A mere ten-minute walk from the sea the lodges location offers both tranquility and convenience. The cleanliness of the lodge deserves a special mention, it is spotlessly maintained,reflecting the care and attention to detail of the hosts.||During my stay, i even made some new freinds,which speaks volumes about about the warm and freindly atmosphere that Gilly and Gary have cultivated. Bedford lodge is more than just a place to stay; its a place where memories are made and freindships forged.

The host were warm and friendly as were everyone we meet. Our room was clean and tidy and the towels and bed was clean and smelt fresh. The cooked breakfast we had every morning was perfect and they gave us a variety of other things we could choose if we wish.

Great location in Shanklin, lovely property surrounded by a well cared for mature garden, wisteria is beautiful. Hosted by Gilly who can’t do enough for you. Breakfast was first rate, as were the beds. Best sleep I’ve had for a while. Free parking. Just love it.

This is our second visit to Bedford Lodge. Gilly and Gilly are fabulous hosts, treated as friends. Room beautiful decorated and spotlessly clean. Garden is beautiful and a lovely place to spend a warm evening. Breakfast is wonderful catering for all, catering for my food allergies without question. We will be going back again, won't stay anywhere else. Thank you guys for another great holiday stay.
